Good placements, very qualified faculty, high reputation of its degree.

Placements: HBTU has its reputation only because of its placement records. In the field of chemical engineering, the placements are very good though it has decreased a bit last year. A minimum of 80% students are offered with jobs but most of the students want to go in their core field so they turn down the jobs which are related with CS And IT sector. In the year 2015, the percentage of placement in chemical engineering was 60 % and in the year 2016, it was 48 %. Many renowned industries visit our campus ...

My faculty are very good with good infrastructure and placements.

Placements: I am a student of chemical engineering. My senior which passed out this year got placed in many companies. Some of the students of them got admission in good IIMs. One of those students got the second rank in GATE. The maximum package offered this year is 18 lacs, the minimum package is 4.8 lacs and the average package of this year is 11 lacs. The placment this year is very good in comparison to the previous years. The minimum criteria for placements is 60 to 65. ...

I am satisfied with this college and I hope that this college is on its way to be called terrific.

Placements: The placements are good. The packages offered did not compete with that of IITs, ISM, and other NITs. But if I have to say that all the students get good opportunities for placements. My branch is paint tech and the placement records of the previous years are excellent. Rest, the other things depend on you & your performance.

Not fully satisfied because I expected a lot. The college has a good placement record

Placements: The placement is quite okay here but the average package is around 4-4.5 lakhs. In the strength of 50 students, about 30 students were placed last year, which is considered to be good in comparison to other branches in HBTU. Sometimes PSUs also used to come for campus selections. Last year, BHEL took 4 seniors by offering the package of 8 lakh and 8 students at 4 lakhs. Several private companies have criteria of 60% that you must cross. PSUs have criteria of 65% that has to be maintained through...

Dissatisfied because of non Wi-Fi campus and the timings of the college.

Placements: I am from paint technology. It is the best branch in terms of placement. The placement of this branch is 100 percent, except in cases of students who have arrears in many subjects. Companies like Tata Motors, Honda, Maruti, Asian Paints, British Paints and much more visited this year. They appoint a student as paint technologist to make paint more efficient. The minimum package for a student is 5 lakhs per annum, and the maximum is between 7-8 lakhs per annum.

A fairly good college, with improving infrastructure and facilities. Average placements and faculty.

Placements: The placements vary depending upon the discipline the students choose. In my batch, for CS & IT, it's nearly 70-80% of the eligible strength. ME, CHE, around 50%. Paint tech and plastic tech usually have the maximum strength placed (90-100%). Other core branches like electrical, electronics, civil have a fairly low number of students being placed (as many of them opt for higher studies). And chemical technology branches like biochemical, food and leather technology are the ones with the lowest n...

Unleashing the truthfulness of HBTU Kanpur.

Placements: Companies that came for hiring were Maruti, Hero, TCS, Nestle and Texas Instruments. The number of students placed from non-core branches was more than the core ones. But, the packages offered were better to the core ones. The highest package went on for 8.5 lacs from Maruti and most of the students went on for the placement.

Satisfied in terms of teaching and environment, but facilities and infrastructure are not that good.

Placements: Placement is quite good at the campus. 70-80% percent of all students get placed among some top companies all across India. The average placement is about 5-6 lakhs while the maximum is 8-9 lakhs. Some companies come to hire at very high package too but unfortunately, 1-2 students got selected there. Some students go for off-campus placement and get a package of 12-16 lakhs. The minimum package is of 3.7 lakhs and it is offered by TCS. The condition of the internship is really poor, none of the ...

Low on facilities but enough time to shape your ambition.

Placements: Placements are decent. 26 out of 33 eligible students got placed. The average package offered is Rs. 4.2 lakhs pa. The highest package offered was Rs. 8.5 lakhs per annum. ExxonMobil, Hindalco, Jindal, Honda, BEL etc. are the companies that visit our university. Internships are rare. ExxonMobil offered Rs. 25,000 per month stipend this year to 2 students.

Placements: Well, the placements from paint technology are better than any other branch. Generally, it has 100% placements with an average package of 5 lakhs and the highest package may vary from 9 to 12 lakhs. Companies like Tvs, Honda, Hero Motocorp, Maruti Suzuki, Pidlife, Nerolac Paints, Asian Paints, Berger, British Paints etc visit the campus and students may also have more than one job options. In the third year it is compulsory for students to do an internship and all the eligible students are offer...

A college with a paramount history that is still counted as one of the best engineering colleges.

Placements: It's good if you are a scholar and possess good communication skills. The placement is decent, considered the economic slowdown and employment shortage. Established companies like Hero, Maruti and Tata visited the campus that gives fair opportunities to the students to fight for a place. Else way, you have a bright opportunity to prepare for various exams like GATE, CAT, IES and IAS.

Truly speaking its campus life is not that much luxurious as that of the other colleges but it provides all the facilities that a student needs to grow innovative ideas. It has an average infrastructure but as it is now a University, so the constructions are at a full swing. If we talk about the placements then you will surely get placed in a good company which will pay the amount that you deserve. If we talk in terms of numbers then it is 80% students who are...

Deemed as the premier state government college in Uttar Pradesh, HBTI Kanpur has lost much of its charm. However, with it being granted a status of being a Deemed University from the next academic year, the conditions should improve. Starting with the good, the college has a good crowd, a large alumni base in all the sectors and a good faculty (especially the old ones). The night life is almost absent for the girls with an entry time of 7:30 pm, but is okay for the boys. The security at night ti...

The college is excellent in terms of course-structure. The students get admission by securing a very good rank in UP-SEE. Therefore they get a platform and a highly competitive environment to perform up to their level. The curriculum structure adds distinctive qualities and makes the students valuable by grooming their skills. The infrastructure is not that fascinating but it is a very good college for technical education.
