Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, Kanpur (popularly known as HBTI, Kanpur) is renowned college of Uttar Pradesh. It is the best college you can get after appearing UPSEE. Campus is large, nearly 250 acres divided into two parts, east and west campus. HBTI offer nearly 13 branches for Bachelor in Technology. Students at HBTI Kanpur have the opportunity to enhance their technical skill as well as managerial skill. I study in Computer Science and Engineering. Curriculum is similar to IIT's i...

College is good. Senior faculty is fantastic. All faculty members are good in leather technology. If you want to learn by your own you should be here. The hostel arrangements are poor. Campus is big. All branches are good in HBTI Kanpur. There are 8 semester in B.Tech. First two semester is same for all branches.

HBTI Kanpur, a college with a legacy of more than 90 years. College has lots of greenery around as it is inside Chandra Shekhar Azad Agricultural University. College location is perfect as it is in the heart of the city, not any isolated place. Since it is a very old college, it is very popular among different PSU, Government Sector and Private Sector firms. Very beautiful buildings. It is the college with 13 branches and almost every faculty is well experienced. There are some branches like oil...

It was established in the year 1921 and it is a very reputed autonomous college of Uttar Pradesh. Its infrastructure is just ok but don't judge on it. It offers B.tech in 13 branches, more than any college in India. I will specially talk about chemical engineering as I have persuaded my B.tech in it. It has some very good faculty and this college is mostly known for its chemical branch. This year in 2015, 35 out of 50 students got placed from this very branch of our college and most of them in c...

The top and prestigious engineering college of U.P. affiliated to U.P.T.U. It has thirteen stream of B.Tech. College placement is very attractive as well as there are number of students who are in very top companies by on-campus and off-campus placements. The caliber of students are very much as, many students are IIM alumni and are IAS. As this college will complete 100 years in 2021, the glory of this college is well renounced not only in India but in the whole world.

The college provides wonderful environment for young minds to learn and grow. It lacks in infrastructure but quality of education is far better. The placements are good with an average of Rs.5 lakhs per annum. It has 19 branches of engineering so you will get the exposure of multiple fields. This college is one of the best colleges in the country after IITs and NITs. It has intelligent peers, reasonable fees and good opportunities are there to prepare for competitive exams like CAT and GATE. The crowd is from UP. Faculty is decent but not very supportive towards student initiatives. Overall it’s better than most engineering colleges in the country

Faculty is excellent, placement is good, and good infrastructure with greenery.

Placements: The percentage of students (seniors) placed was above 90%. As far as I know, the highest package was around 15 LPA, and the average was 9 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Wipro, Infosys, Berger, Paytm, Amazon, Zomato, Flipkart, etc. I don't know anything particular about internships.

Placements: Placement is good. Most of the students get placed. Average you can expect package of 6 lakh. Some companies give 9 or 10+ lpa package. So in regard to placement this college is quite satisfactory. Talking about internship, almost all students get internships at the end of 3rd year.

Placements: Approximately 60 to 70% of students get placement with an average package of INR 7 LPA. For mechanical engineering, companies like TATA, Maruti Suzuki, etc. are recruiting. The courses are designed in a very good way, and the practicals are done admirably.

Placements: It is a good college and gives wonder opportunities. Placements are also satisfactory here. There are 100+ students in my batch only. Too many companies like berger paints and maruti and suzuki offers very genuine packages. The highest package was around 11.47 lacs per annum which is quite good in this field.

It is the top college, with good placements, but the infrastructure is disappointing.

Placements: Placements are extremely good. Every year, the average package for mechanical engineering is about 6-7 LPA. Many companies visit the campus, such as Hero, Motorcops, Maruti Suzuki, Tata etc. Placements of students are completely based on how much knowledge they have, and if you have knowledge, you can get placed very easily irrespective of the college. As far as I know, about 60-70% of students got placed.
