The college is best for everything like sports, academics.

Placements: The placement in our college for my senior is quite proper as compared to the older seniors of my department. Approximately 70-75% get placed every year in the department. The highest salary package offered this year is 17.3 LPA by Hindustan Unilever Limited and BHEL.

The college lacks in infrastructure, facilities, and industrial exposure.

Placements: The placement rate for our batch was more than 90% and was almost similar for the senior batches. As it is a state-funded government college with a great alma mater, the placements were good. PSUs and MNCs used to visit and recruit students at a good salary package. Overall, the placements are satisfactory.

HBTI-continuously improving.

Placements: HBTI is known for its placements. Every year, companies like TATA, Maruti, Samsung, Sapient, Infosys, etc., come to recruit students from various branches; 2014 was no different. We had the above companies and many more that hired students from HBTI for their research and development teams and other core departments. Almost all the eligible candidates had one or more placement offers by the end of the academic year. The range of which started from 3.2 LPA, offered by companies like Aricent and I...

If we talk about the overall college its good because in the end placements are excellent.

Placements: The placements of the college are finely awesome. And recently this year the very known company TCS has rank our college in the premium list which it usually refers to the IITS and NITs. And the minimum package given to the students from now will be 7.5. so if we talk about the placements that are pretty fine in this college beside the infrastructure. And the average goes 5 lac per annum.

Com, Mobikwik (for two posts), Farelabs, Indiamart, NEC, Nagarro, Airtel Payment Banks, Adobe, HSBC, HCL, Stratbeans and few more. The last two years recorded a placement above 65% and many off campus placements were also recorded. The highest package offered was 14 LPA by HSBC, 10 LPA by Adobe, 9 LPA by Yatra. Review of HBTU Kanpur - Harcourt Butler Technical University.

Placements: Placements in HBTU Kanpur are not upto the mark. It was quite good before 2013, but after that the placement degraded drastically. Some say that it is because of no permanent director in the college. About 59 out of 62 students were placed before 2011, but now only 26 students out of 68 in 2018 batch got placed.

Great students as they create an exceptional future on their own as the administration is corrupt.

Placements: In the electrical engineering department, placements are pretty decent. Students are more tilted towards government aspects and thus chose to take jobs through Gate exams. It is one of the best colleges to produce engineers, IES and IAS. Companies like Hindalco, Samsung, L&T, etc., visit our campus for placements. The highest salary package offered is 24 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2-3 LPA.

A bit disappointed with the administration of such an elite institution.

Placements: About 50% of the batch was placed. However, the placement record has deteriorated compared to the last year. A few MNCs arrived on the campus. Companies like BPCL and BEL visited the college and recruited many students. BPCL offered the highest package of 17 Lacs per annum.

I am not fully satisfied because of the infrastructure, but the faculty members are good.

Placements: Our college established in the year 2015, so we can know that till now no placement has taken place in our college. But last year when our new faculty took the charges, we are sure that we are going to see a perfect result regarding the placement of our college, at least better than any private college.

It is a nice university for the aspirants.

Placements: There are very good placements for computer science and engineering students. Almost every student got placed, and the highest salary package offered is also too good, i.e., about 7-8 LPA. There is a placement cell in the college, and it is working properly. The placement is increasing as the college is now not under AKTU, as it is changed to university.

Outstanding placement, poor infrastructure.

Placements: The placement is almost 100 per cent. A multitude of national and multinational firms visit the college. These include firms like ADM, LDC, BPCL, Adani, Emami, BEL, Mobikwik, TCS, Exxon mobile, Gemini edibles and many more. As far as my branch is concerned, everyone was placed with packages ranging from 3.25lpa to 5.5 LPA. The college average is even higher with a maximum going upto 17.5 LPA.

Good reputation but the standard is decreasing day by day.

Placements: The placement of college is quite decent. Best placement is in Paint Technology and Chemical Branch. Other branches like mechanical, computer Science and oil technology also have a good placement. Plastic and leather technology are the two branches in which the topper of first year is sent on college stiphened internship to Germany which assure those students a very good placement. The highest placement reaches to 20lakhs and average is around 7 Lacs.

HBTU is a place for the overall development of talents.

Placements: The placements are good as far as mediocre packages are concerned. The placements for paint technology and mechanical engineering are good. Computer science students had a boon this year. However, electronics and civil engineering are declined. The placements are good, and they are improving every year. PSU's and MNC's visit the campus at regular intervals.

The infrastructure is bad, but the placements and faculty of the college are good.

Placements: The placements in our college are not very good. This year, about 80% of the students got placed. Only 7 students got a package higher than 12 LPA. Plastic, and chemical engineering students have the best placements. Average package was about 9 LPA. Branches like mechanical and chemical engineering also had good placements.

Placements: Last year, in the session 2016~2017, placement was about 40~50% including those placed in core electronics companies as well as in software companies but in the session 2017~2018, total placement of the branch fell down to 20~25% only. Among the non core branches like oil technology, paint technology, plastic technology, campus placement may touch 90~95%. Placements: Placements for 2018 batch are better than the 2017 batch. Top recruiters are TCS, Yatra, Samsung, HCL, ZS. Overall placements are fine. On average 60-70% students get placed. The highest package - 9 LPA, the lowest package - 3.3 LPA and average is - 4.5 LPA. Placement cell is not very active most of the work is done by students themselves.

The college is good for government jobs, but not for private jobs.

Placements: The placements are good for non-core branch students, but when it comes to core branches, it is not much good, except for computer science students. In HBTU, you will have enough time to prepare for government jobs through GATE. The result of HBTU is very good in GATE and CAT exams.
