2024 scenario in HBTU Kanpur.

Placements: This year's 2024 batch is just like a nightmare for on-campus placement, as 20 students in my branch couldn't get the placement. If we see the highest placement, then there is one senior who got a placement of 33 LPA off-campus in Zeta, and he also got 22 LPA on-campus in Zscaler, too. The rest of the data will be there after the list comes. This year, TCS is the god for students; it was the only hope due to the recession in the market. Very few companies are visiting on campus.

Average college, limited options. Not as good as top NITs and IIITs, but still okay.

Placements: Half of the students in the Computer Science and Information Technology departments secured attractive packages averaging 15+ LPA. The remaining students also received placements, albeit not as lucrative. The top-tier packages were predominantly offered off campus to high-performing students. The placements in the Chemical Engineering department were satisfactory, while the departments of Paint and Electronics had moderate success. Other departments did not fare as well.

Our college is good but requires improvement in teaching methods, syllabus, and placements.

Placements: In our course, about 90-95% of students were placed. The highest salary package was 44 LPA by Amazon (off-campus) and the lowest salary package offered was 5 LPA. Top companies like Paytm, Samsung India, PeopleStrong, TCS, Infoedge, IBM, and Indiamart were recruited from our college. In the 3rd year, our college didn't offer any internships but in the final year, every company that recruited us offered internships. Top roles offered were software engineer, R&D engineer, software development engi...

This university has a lot of fame in UP, but I think it is not worth it.

Placements: The placement criteria differ from branch to branch. IT and CS branches have the best placement records compared to other branches. Other branches have below-average placements compared to other colleges. On average, 60% of students in CS and IT got internships.

I do not recommend students take admission until there are no other options.

Placements: About 40% of students from our course get placed. The highest salary package offered in our course is 12 LPA, and the average salary package offered ranges between 6-7 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3.35 LPA. A top recruiting company that visits our campus for placements is Oyo. The on-campus internship is rarely seen here. Top roles offered in placements are software engineer, machine learning engineer, and full-stack developer.

Overall, the college is amazing.

Placements: In mechanical engineering, the placements in the core were decent before Covid, as almost 40% of the students got placed. But with a good alumni network, students were able to grab placements by just connecting with alumni. Some of the students went for Masters, and some got placements in data science and analysis. So, it totally depends on your hard work. The highest package in the core was 10.5 LPA, offered by Maruti Suzuki, which is a big brand name. If we look in for internships, you have to...

You will enjoy completely but memories will be made.

Placements: Few of the good things about this college is the placements, most of the students get placed here (say 70%), some of the branches have 100% placement like CS IT, chemical engineering and paint technology. If you are performing decently in college you need not worry about placement except if you are from leather technology or biochemical engineering. For more specific stats about placement you can check college website. Overall the average package remains at 5.2lpa.

Absolutely feels satisfaction because of faculty but placement are better.

Placements: The placement of CSE branch is excellent. The average package is 9 lacs while the highest depends upon the student. The lowest package this year is 3.5 lacs. The college also provide internship opportunity in 3rd year. The companies comes for placements are oyo rooms, reliance, sometimes microsoft even. Its location near IIT Kanpur makes placement better.

Good infrastructure, hostel, food, but dissatisfied by the placement and lab conditions.

Placements: I am a student of Mechanical Engineering in HBTU. Here about 40% to 50% students are placed through campus placement. Remaining are preparing for higher education or off campus placement. The highest package in Mechanical engineering branch in 2020 passout batch is 7.1 LPA approximately. The top recruiting companies were Hero Motocorp, Saint Gobain, Samsung, Aditya Birla Group etc. 2-3 companies came in 3rd year for internship and Maximum 5-6 students selected through campus internship.

Placements: Placement statistics of mechanical department is good. Approximately 50-60% students get placed. Last year in 2018 35 students got placed in a batch of 60 students. Top recruiters being Maruti Suzuki, Exxon mobile, Hero, Tata etc. The highest package offered in 2018 being 16 lacs, while average falls in the range of 7-8 lacs. Most of the students prepare for competitive exams like GATE CAT ESE, IAS etc. They tend to get tremendous success in all these fields as well.

I would say if score good marks in JEE Main than you should look for other colleges. Not satisfied.

Placements: There are 12 students placed out of 28 in my batch, I also did not get any job from campus and preparing for banks. Some others are placed too but it is not due to college they did their own search and worked through that. But college will show as if they helped them in doing that. Yes college previous reputation definitely helped them but now college reputation is degrading day by day I would not suggest to join this college.
