Tamil Nadu 12th Result 2024 Grading system: The Directorate of General Education, Tamil Nadu (TNDGE) has prescribed the TN 12th grading system 2024 which consists of grades from A1 to E1. According to the Tamil Nadu 12th grading system 2024,  A1 grade is awarded for those who achieve 91 marks or more. The TN 12th result 2024 was released on May 6, 2024.

The grade point for A1 grade is 10 points. Those who score 81-90 marks are given A2 grade with grade points 9. B1 grade is given to those scoring 71-80 marks. Those who score below 35 are considered failed.

Tamil Nadu 12th Result 2024: Passing Criteria

Students need to attain the minimum 35 pecrent marks to clear the TN 12th exam 2024.

15 marks in theory exam and a total of 35 marks

For vocational subjects consisting of practicals only Students should secure a minimum of 20 marks out of 75 marks in the practical.

Tamil Nadu HSC Result 2024: Marking Pattern

The TN 12th paper is divided into four sections. Check the TN 12th marking pattern below.

  • The first section consists of 15 marks. It has multiple choice questions.
  • The second section consists of 2-mark questions. The maximum marks a student can acquire are 12.
  • The third section has three-mark questions and the maximum marks in this section is 18.
  • The students are required to answer long answer type 5 questions under section 4, with each question containing 5 marks.
