If you have studied, you will get a placement. The campus life is fun and different.

Placements: If you study, you will get placement, and things are available for study. Around 60% of students got placed. Pay is almost the same and varies with the type of ship. The internship can be done in the workshop itself. NYK, Shell, Torm, and many good companies visit the college.

Review of IMU - IMU Kolkata Indian Maritime University.

Placements: Every year nearly 250 students join the course B.Tech. Around 70-85% of students are placed. Placements are good when compared to other colleges. The salary is based on dollars as this is an international line the salaries are about 500$ - 1000$, it's depending upon shipping company and the ship type. Top recruiting companies like Chevron, NYK, Anglo-Eastern, M.Sc Omci, Fleet Management, Pil, Scorpio, Science, etc., previously every cadet's 8th semester is their internships in ships but now ship...

It makes students gentlemen who can excel in any field.

Placements: Since our college does not offer multiple branches it was a typical marine college so the roles offered were only marine engineers, because the college believes that what students teach the student must excel in it. In our course, around 60% of students were placed. It was nearly the same pay in this sector. NYK was the top recruiting company, and there were no internships. The role offered was a marine engineer.

There is a good placement record with average infrastructure and highly reasonable fees.

Placements: About 75% of the students got on-campus offers, while about 15% of the students got off-campus placements during the course only. Salaries offered range from $370 per month to $ 11,00 per month for the post of trainee marine engineers. Some of the top recruiters here were NYK Shipmanagement, Fleet Management, MSC, Anglo-Eastern, Scorpio Maritime, etc.

Overall, it is the best marine engineering government college.

Placements: The placements in the marine engineering course are the best compared to any other Merchant Navy College in India. More than 90% of students of B.Tech ME get placed in shipping companies, including Maersk, Anglo Eastern etc. The campus is the best to pursue ME. But it is a bit difficult to get admission as it is the most preferred during IMUCET counseling. You should have a rank under 1000.

There are really good faculty members and facilities.

Placements: There are good placements here. A lot of placement opportunities are provided to cadets. Most of the cadets get placed in their 3rd and 4th years. Companies which visit here for recruitment are Anglo-Eastern, Scorpio, Synergy, Chevron, Pacific Basin, Fleet Management and many more.

I suggest you take admission here.

Placements: The placement rate here is about 70% to 80%, and the placements completely depend on your performance. Many companies visited here to conduct interviews and select students.

It provides good college culture and it has great bonding between batchmates.

Placements: Nearly 40% of students get placed after this covid situation. But after 1 year of their passing 95% of the cadets are placed. In the merchant navy, there is no such thing as a package. In general, students get $500 per month, but some companies do provide $650.

I suggest you take admission here.

Placements: Placements are quite better here, but these days all things are not the same. Competition is getting high, so it obviously impacts the placement rate. However, in IMU KC, the placement rate is higher than other maritime campuses. So, you don't need to worry much about the placements, and you should just study. Every student gets placed.

Review of IMU - IMU Kolkata Indian Maritime University.

Placements: The placements were top-notch, but the pandemic has hit it hard. It fell from 80% to 50%. Hopefully, it will recover as the physical training recollect their days. The courses are online due to which cadets are able to complete them. The package for a marine engineer is usually the same and increase with increasing ranks.

I am satisfied with the placements and facilities provided.

Placements: Our batch is yet to attend the placements interviews. But our senior batches have given excellent results out of 210 students 150 students are placed. This college is doing great help before placements interviews. Our college has given the best results than other colleges.

Satisfied because of faculty members, infrastructure.

Placements: Around 90 % of students got placed during their course if they don't have a backlog. There are so many shipping companies that recruited students like NYK, Torm, Synergy, Fleet management, Anglo-Eastern, Science and many more. They used to join the ship as the fifth engineer.

Our college is in bad condition. Placements are almost 25%, and nothing is good here.

Placements: From our senior batch out of 2,082 students, just 87 students got placed till now, and their course is also completed. There is no fixed salary package as it depends on the company. Top recruiting companies of our college are Fleet NYK, Chevron, TORM, Anglo and Scorpio. None of the students got internships from the college. Everyone got the same role.

Choosing DMET/MERI/ IMU KOLKATA is the best decision of my life till now.

Placements: PLACEMENT PERCENTAGE : To be very honest, placement percentage has decreased lot in the past few years but still University managed to be in top of all other marine engineering institutes with overall 75% cadets gets placed till passing out. For example my fourth year has batch strength of 240 and 190+ got placed by the end of the course. SALARY PACKAGES : the highest the lowest average doesn't matter in the Marine engineering. All companies hire you as junior engineer and they offer you 35k to ...

So, it's a pretty good college, you'll get placed if you really deserve it, SEE you in college.

Placements: I can't say much about placements from our batch as we're currently in 5th sem, but placements are pretty good. Two of my batchmates have already been placed back in 4th sem in chevron shipping. More companies will hire starting from 6th sem. The companies that regularly come here are, chevron, fleet ship management, Science, nyk.

If you want to take admission here, then don't expect that you get placed in a company you want.

Placements: There is no choice to choose the company in this college as per new placement rules. Our college says that as per the rank list, the placements will be conducted, and there are only 2 chances to attend placements. Even if you attend the interview, the chance will be counted. So, this is a fraud for our batch because while we are taking admissions, there were no such rules.

Review of IMU - IMU Kolkata Indian Maritime University.

Placements: Around 60-70% of students got placed from the college, and about 10% of students got placed through off-campus. Packages range between 15,000 to 50,000 per month. Mass recruiters are Fleet Management and Shipping Corporation of India. They both took around 30 students each. All the companies offer placements for the role of junior engineer.

Placements: Around 80-85% of the students got placed who opt for B.Tech. The average salary package offered is around 5-6 LPA. The top role offered in our course is training marine engineers. Around 40% of the students in our college got a chance of an internship in companies.

It is one of the best MTI in the country, but it is lagging with the advancement of technology.

Placements: In recent years, there is a significant downfall in placements mainly because of the presence of many MTIs and cadets available for the shipping industry. In the last 2 years, few more companies have shown interest.

I am satisfied because of faculty members and good placement record.

Placements: Approximately 80% of the students get placed on campus, and rest students get placed off-campus. Some students opt for higher education. Students who have backlogs rarely get placed depending upon their skills. Overall placements are favourable for studious students.
