The IMU Kochi recorded a 22% placement rate during placement 2021, which was very less as compared with 2020, i.e. 52%. However, the latest data placement report of 2022 is not released as yet.Placements: Almost 95% of students get placed every year in our college. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Capgemini, Cogoport, etc.Of course imu kolkata is best among all of these for marine engineering because I was student of kolkata campus. placement is much better than others.BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering/ Naval Architecture with at least 50% marks in final year from a recognised University/AICTE approved Institute/IIT with minimum 50% marks in the English language at 10th or 12th or in Degree Exam.

The total number of candidates registered for IMU's Online CET increased from 14,751 in 2014-15 to 16,694 in 2015-16 to 22,495 in 2016-17 Placements: More than 70% of students got placed in different maritime companies around the world. The average salary package offered was 3.5 LPA.10+2 or equivalent with minimum 60% aggregate in PCM and minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th/12th examination. Note: In case of SC/ST candidates there will be a 5% relaxation in eligibility marks; however, it will not apply to English marks.The Laptop/Desktop with audio and video equipment are mandatory in order to attend and write this examination.
