IMU is the central government university and if you are interested in merchant navy then you should hit to one of the campuses of IMU. Be very clear of what stream you want to choose (B.Sc, B.Tech, DNS, etc.it is costly B.E. / B.Tech (12 courses) 3 L - 18.6 L . The placement rate recorded in IMU Kochi placement drive 2021 was 22% which was much lower than the last year's placement rate which was 52% in 2020. Top recruiting companies are Capgemini, Cogoport, etc.Of course imu kolkata is best among all of these for marine engineering because I was student of kolkata campus. placement is much better than others.BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering/ Naval Architecture with at least 50% marks in final year from a recognised University/AICTE approved Institute/IIT with minimum 50% marks in the English language at 10th or 12th or in Degree Exam.
