What is IGKV CET?
The Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (IGKV), formerly known as Indira Gandhi Agriculture University, conducts the IGKV CET (Common Entrance Test) in order to offer students admission in its various postgraduate and doctoral courses which are offered at the university. Students have to clear the IGKV CET in order to get admission in the university. Admission at IGKV is also done through ICAR AIEEA (for PG courses) and ICAR AICE JRF/SRF(for PhD courses). The common entrance test is conducted in offline mode and candidates have clear the entrance exam in order to get admission in the university. The official dates for the 2021 academic year will be announced soon.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for admission in postgraduate and doctoral courses are as follows:

MSc and Faculty of Horticulture |
The candidate should have done their BSc (Ag) or BSc (Hort) from a recognised university and should have secured a minimum of 60% marks. |
MSc and Faculty of Agricultural Engineering |
The candidate should have pursued their BTech from a recognised university and should have secured a minimum of 60% or OGPA 6.00 out of 10 point scale. |

IGKV CET Admission Process:
Candidates who are applying for admission through IGKV CET, need to follow the below-mentioned step by step process which are as follows:
Step 1: Registration
Students have to first register themselves online by visiting the official website of Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya. On entering the details, a verification link will be sent to the candidate’s E-mail ID. Candidate has to click on the verification link to complete submission process of the application
Step 2: Apply for IGKV CET
Students have to apply in online mode. Students need to visit the official website of Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya in order to apply online. They must have all the necessary documents with them while filling up the form. The aspirant is required to fill in all the required information such as personal and academic details. The candidate will have to upload the respective images of their passport size photograph and signature. Once uploaded, proceed to pay the application fee. Once the payment has been made, candidates have successfully applied for IGKV CET.
Step 3: Download the Admit Card
Students who have successfully submitted the application form with the application fee, can download their admit card (hall ticket) once released online on the official website of the university. Students need login by entering their login ID and password. The admit card is an important document which needs to be brought to the entrance exam.
Step 4: Appear for IGKV CET
Students need to appear for the IGKV CET on the date mentioned and should carry their admit card and Identity proofs along with themselves. Students must follow the rules and regulations as mentioned on the prospectus and must adhere to the rules.
Step 5: Results
Students who have appeared for IGKV CET can check the results which will be released after the answer key has been announced. The results will be released in the form of merit lists.
Step 6: Counselling
The counselling schedule will be announced once the merit list has been released. No separate intimation will be given to the candidate regarding the counselling. The University will not be responsible for any loss of opportunity for admission to the candidate by not participating in the counselling.

IGKV CET Exam Centres
The IGKV CET Exam Centres will be mentioned on the issued admit card. Candidates can select their IGKV CET exam centre while filling out the application form and will have to select the nearest zone. Once mentioned, candidates will not be allowed to change the centre after the correction of the application window is closed.
