Good placements in 2016 and great companies lined up for 2017.

Placements: The placements for our batch were quite good considering we were the second batch out of the college. The subsequent batches have been successful in bagging great offers from reputed companies like Flipkart, Dell, etc. The placement scenario in the recent past has been good as well considering the slowdown in the jobs market and recruiters opting to take fewer students from colleges.

The college is superb, all in all, with a lot of cultural and technical activities.

Placements: Offers were made mostly by service-based companies with the majority by Infosys and Capgemini. No core companies had offered jobs. The placement statistics had improved than the previous batch. Almost 90% of the students got placed though the average salary was not that high.

IIIT Bhubaneswar college review.

Placements: In 2016 the average placement percentage for all branches was around 95% with all eligible students of 2015-16. Till now, the highest package was offered to a CSE student by Snapdeal at 15 lakh per annum in the year 2015. Average placement package for all branches is around Rs 4-4.5 lakh. In 2016, 15 recruiting companies have come to our college with some good recruiters companies like DELL, CAPGEMINI, IBM, SAP, AMAZON etc. Every year, Dell selects top 10 students from the C.S.E/I.T branch fo...

Good placements in IT sector, average faculty, good environment and facilities.

Placements: Placements of this college are very good in the IT sector. There is no core company for ETC and EEE students offering placement in this institute, so, ETC and EEE students have to go for the IT sector from the college placement. In the past 3-4 years, about 85% of students are placed from the campus drive and the highest salary was 15.75 LPA offered by Snapdeal in 2015. Moreover, the average salary is 3.5-4 LPA and the lowest one is offered by Amazon at 2.75 LPA. Some of the good organisations a...

Underdog of premier institutes.

Placements: Our batch had an average placement as it was only the second batch. The college has grown a lot since and the placement has been creeping to higher denominations. We had an average package of 3LPA. Mostly IT companies visit the campus for recruitment.

The hardships of the first batch (2013 batch).

Placements: The 2013 batch was the first batch of the college. Hence, the placements were not spectacular for the batch. The major recruiters on campus were Samsung, ITC Infotech, and Capgemini. There were a few smaller companies which hired a smaller number of students. The average salary was about 4LPA. However, the placements of successive batches were more encouraging. More companies visited the campus and students had multiple offers in hand.

Decent college with a great future.

Placements: The placements were pretty average with mass recruiters like Infosys, IBM and Capgemini recruiting more than 75% of the total students. Companies like Samsung and Paytm also visited the campus offering more than 10+ LPA but the number of students recruited was less for those companies. Roles offered were mostly related to software engineering. There were no internships offered for our batch but subsequently, companies started coming for internships and even offered PPOs. Recently, many startup...

The average placement in my batch was 4 LPA with the lowest salary offered being 2 LPA. Placements: Placements are coming of age. Good companies do visit the campus, however, they need to expand their horizon. They need to bring in core companies too. Normally 80% of the batch is placed. The highest package in my batch was 15 lpa by Snapdeal. However, the average package is less.

Dell, Infosys, Diffon, IBM, ITC Infotech, TCS, etc. There were many rounds- technical, coding, quantitative and HR round. 20 to 30% students got an internship from the college in Dell. Placements: The placement of the college is getting better year by year. The college is just 9 years old. The number of recruiters increased from 10 in 2014 to 20 companies visiting currently. Among mass-recruiters, Capgemini, Infosys, TCS and Tech Mahindra recruit every year. Other major recruiters are Dell, IBM, L&T Infotech, Huawei, Paytm, Samsung, Sokrati, SAP Technologies, Mindtree and Snapdeal (only visited once in 2015). Decent college which can put you in the right track.

Placements: Placements are very good in comparison to other colleges in Odisha. They were good for our senior batch as well as for our batch. But it is a fact that only IT companies come to our college. There are 1-2 startups based in electronics which come once in a while, but basically, the placements are IT driven. Around 95% of the eligible students easily get placed in companies. A lot of them even get placed in multiple companies. The highest package was by SAP - 9 LPA. The lowest, I guess, were by T...

Absolutely satisfied With facilities and qualitative and friendly faculty.

Placements: Generally, IIIT-BH has 100 percent placements. Students were mostly placed in Top IT companies like Dell, IBM, Sap etc. Talking about internships, Dell provides the internship to selected 3rd-year students with a good stipend. Generally, almost all students of the 2nd-year even do internships in IITs and Navaratna companies.

Placements: Placement was good. Most of our batch was successfully placed. Some students got multiple offers. Some industrial relationships with companies like Dell and STPI helped the students a lot in placement. From the batch of 240 students, about 200+ students were successfully placed. Major recruiters like Infosys, Dell, Capgemini visited the campus and other IT companies like Mindfire Solutions, Cognizant and Mindtree also recruited some students.

The infrastructure is very good with good ground and hostel facilities for the students. Cafeteria is big. Just the problem is full year fees needs to be paid at a time. The Thali system is present. Parking space is very huge. Campus Wi-Fi is available for the students.

Placements: In the case of companies arriving at IIIT Bhubaneswar, a decent number of well-known companies participate. The highest package was around 35 LPA, while some students secured better off-campus offers around 78 LPA, and a few even received PPOs (pre-placement offers).
