Placements: In the arts department, students focus more on clearing the NET. But a lot of students opt for placements in media companies, NGOs, and ad agencies, etc. The salary offered varies, and it is ranged between Rs. 25,000 per month to Rs. 75,000 per month depending on the job and the location of the job.
Placements: Last year, almost 34 students out of 40 got placed. Placements will increase in the coming years in metallurgy branch. Last year, companies like Vedanta, Tata Steel, Jindal Steel, etc., visited the campus for placements. The average salary package offered is around 5 LPA.
Placements: Our college assures 100% placements. Around 60% of the students get placed in core companies. However, many students opt for PSUs through the GATE exam or go for higher studies. Students generally go for internships in petroleum or petrochemical companies and PSUs like IOCL, BPCL, and ONGC, etc.
Placements: Jadavpur is famous for humanities streams. Placement drives are conducted by different MNCs for the engineering departments, and the rest of the students either have become the Policymakers of the state or have been appointed in respectable positions. Almost 22 students from our senior batch cleared the NET exam and set the record. The number remains almost similar every year.
Placements: Placements in our college are good and provide good exposure to the students. JD Birla Institute is one of the best colleges in Kolkata and has tie-ups with good companies which in turn help students for placements. It is worth studying there.
Placements: Placements were decent. A lot of companies came in for the process having a nice job profile and pay. Seniors were happy with the jobs they were placed at. All kinds of roles were offered for all fields. We did not have an internship in our course curriculum, therefore it was not mandatory.
Placements: Only a few students applied for placement drives, and the rest of the others have opted for the PG course. Students who applied for placement drives got placed in companies like Godrej, ITC Hotels, and Futures First, etc. Most of the students were offered sales trainee roles, and the companies offered very good packages. Futures First has offered the highest package among all.
Placements: Placements are offered to those students who opt for placements after the completion of the course. They are required to give their names to the placement cell of our college after which they are eligible for placements in the college. The highest packages are offered by Amazon and Ernst and Young for the commerce students.
Placements: Since I was one of the core placement committee members of Jadavpur University during the placement session 2013-14, I guess, I am competent enough to highlight the placement scenario of the institution. The placements were at par with some of the best engineering colleges of the country. Some 120 odd companies visited the campus for 800 students across 16 engineering departments, with an average annual package of 5.5 Lacs (2013-14). Computer Science and IT department students bagged some of the...
Placements: Placements in our college are good. Good industrial tours are conducted. The college is on the emerging path with tie-ups with top recruiters like KPMG, Deloitte and E&Y. We hope to build cordial relations with recruiters in future, and our brand is being trusted by top corporates every year.
Placements: Placements in our college are very good. Companies like Wipro and PWC visited the campus for placements. Almost 30% of the students were placed. Rest of them are pursuing higher courses like MBA, M.Com etc. I guess about 40-50% of the students or more have got internships. There is a placement cell in the college. It is very efficient, and its officer is very polite and helpful.
Placements: The college provides very good placements, especially in CSE, ECE and IT branches. Placements for electrical engineering, chemical engineering, and mechanical engineering, production engineering, and metallurgy engineering are good. The highest salary package offered is 42 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA.
Placements: This year, the placement scenario of the college is even improved. Mostly software based jobs are offered with a salary package of more than 10 LPA. Around 4-5 students even get a salary package of 20-42 LPA. Hardware-based jobs are offered with a low salary package. Still, companies like Samsung (hardware), Texas Instruments, and Qualcomm, etc., offer a salary package of 15-20 LPA. Most of the students have been placed from our college.
Placements: Placements in our college are quite good. The highest package is offered by Amazon, Bangalore. The placement scenario is not the typical campus recruitment system. Only the students who are interested in getting placed after their course completion are required to apply through the placement cell of the college. Most of the students that apply for jobs through the placement cell get placed.
Placements: Since the college offers bachelor and master courses, the placements are reasonable compared to the courses offered in our college. Students who are interested in getting jobs from college need to contact the placement cell. Major companies that visit for recruitment are Ernst & Young and Amazon. Students are also offered internships during the course. Since it is a morning college for students doing B.Com, they get off by 12 pm which makes it possible for them to work for companies during their...
Placements: Placements in college are good because it is the oldest and reputed college in India. Around 60-70% of the students get placed every year. More of them go for higher studies. Reputed companies like Indian Oil, BPCL, ONGC, Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd., Vedanta, Honeywell, etc., visit the campus for placements of the chemical engineering department.
Placements: There is a placement cell in the college working for the students who want to get placed. Mostly, students prefer to get placed on their own. The placement cell is active. One of the companies that visited the college for placements was Amazon. The fashion designing and interior designing students are required to do internships. This is not the same in case of B.Com students. The stipend offered by companies is good in comparison to the courses offered by the college.
Placements: As far as MCA is concerned, students do get placed but the packages are not as high as B.Tech ones. This year, except 4-5 students, everyone else got placed. Some received 3 offers too. The highest package offered so far is 14 LPA. All our super seniors got placed well. Summer internship offers are provided to the students.
Placements: The placement scenario of our college is very good. Mainly, comapnies from the private sector offer many placements, and the students who have quite a good command on computer languages can easily get placed. I am not interested to join private companies because I want to go for a government job.
Placements: Placements for the core branches were quite good. Companies like Times of India, Bennett and Coleman, ITC PSPD and many more visited the campus and recruited many of the students. Non-core and IT companies like Bridgei2i, ZS Associates, CGI, Capgemini, Trevista, etc., visited the college to offer placements. The highest package offered was 7.5 LPA, and the average package offered was 4.8 LPA. The placement percentage was 97%. All the students got internships. The placement cell is not very effec...
