Placements: There are no placements to get a job after doing B.Sc course. Studying an honours subject in Science is not like engineering. I can tell it proudly that our university has a good record about the student selected in good higher education from here. Every year, students crack IIT, JAM, TIFR, JEST, etc., competitive exams. The previous year, a student held 1st rank in TIFR exam.

Placements: The placements for chemical engineering in Jadavpur University are really good. Last year, out of 75 students, approximately 54 got placed on our campus. The current year, till now, approximately 42 seniors got placed, and still, 4-5 months are there for the placements. Companies like Honeywell offer good packages of around 10 LPA, the minimum of 3.2 or 3.5 LPA, I don't know exactly. The average package offered is above 4.7 lpa. Placements: The placement scenario in this university is very good. In the civil department top companies like L&T Construction, Tata Projects, SPCL, Bridge and Roof, Vedanta, MN Dastur come every year for recruitment. In my batch around 70%, people were placed including core and non-core companies. The figure for my senior's batches 2-3 years back was a little low with an average of roughly 55-60% placed. The companies who recruit from the department of computer science and engineering typically offer higher remuneration. There is also a good mix offering varied roles in the utilities (transmission and distribution) or the core sector multinational companies and to those in the consulting firms. Placements: Placements are good with around 80% of the batch getting placed every year. Roles and packages vary according to different departments. Consulting companies come to the campus and take students for various roles, however, most of the placements are in the core sectors. IT sector also hires in large numbers.

Placements: Many national and international placements have been made from this department in the past years. Firms take placements from our college at the posts for junior architects and many more with a salary package of Rs. 3,00,000 PA to Rs. 15,00,000 PA. We have placement coordinators in this department from the past few years which makes the hassle of searching jobs easier as they bring the firms directly to the doorstep of our university. Placements: The placement season goes throughout the year. The third year students get companies for good internships. Over 90% placement takes place. The companies like Mu Sigma, PwC, Maruti, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Microsoft and many more other companies visit the campus throughout the year. These companies range from core to coding to economics.

Placements: The placements offered in the college are excellent. Jadavpur University, the construction engineering department saw 100% placement in the companies like L&T construction and many more. The highest package being offered was 12 LPA whereas the average package close to 5 LPA. The students are going to the higher studies and opting an internship.

Placements: The students are not attending interviews as all are interested in opening their firm, but every year it differs as some batches are interested in placement and some want to go to open their firn, so it all depends on the students. Many companies want to approach, but students and placement cell deny them.

Placements: The job prospect is good. In my batch, there were almost 90 students, and 80 to 85 students got at least one job from the campus recruitment. Renowned core companies like Bajaj, L&T, Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki etc. and IT companies like TCS, CTS etc. recruit mechanical engineering graduates from JU. The roles offered to the students depends on the company.

Placements: Last year, it was around 45 out of 75 students who got placed. This year, it is already around 35 who are placed and yet companies are to visit here. So the count may reach to 50. In the upcoming years, these numbers are just going to increase. Talking of the percentage, it may vary from department to department, but it is around 50%.

Placements: The placements are too good. Although in civil, placements are not as good as other branches like CSE, ECE, and EEE but the department of civil is very good & in this branch, you can get many opportunities for higher education. The number 1 construction company L&T used to come every year & offered a good salary package.

Around 90 % of the students get placed with a package varying from 3.2 LPA for mass recruitment to 16 LPA for the core and 25 LPA for IT and CSE. Placements: Till now, about 80% of the students have been placed. My senior batch was placed with the highest CTC of 3.4 lpa and the average CTC of 2.8 lpa. My batch is placed with the highest CTC of 4.5 lpa and my salary package is 4 lpa. I opted for MBA in 2017. The placement condition is slowly increasing, and it gets better day by day.

Placements: Every year placements get better than the last. For the batch of 2020 companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Samsung(Bangalore), Goldmann Sachs, Sap Labs, GE Digital, DE Shaw, PWC, Shell, Wipro, ZS Associates, Deutsche Bank have recruited from our department. Tower Research, Reeve Systems, Smartprix, Samsung(Delhi and Noida), Synopsis and a few more are yet to visit our campus. The highest salary is offered by Amazon and DE Shaw. The lowest probably offered by PWC or Wipro.

Placements: As I'm graduated from the Mechanical department, I'll talk about the placements regarding Mechanical Department. The average salary goes here around 5.5 LPA with at least 80% students placed in the core companies. Core companies like CESC, Bharat Petroleum, Hero Motocop, Maruti Suzuki, Bechtel India, Dabur, Cairn India, L&T, Bajaj, Royal Enfield, etc., And other companies like PWC, Deloitte, ZS Associates, E&Y, TCS, Infosys, IBM, etc., allowed Mechanical students for placements. Placements: Science faculty at Jadavpur University doesn't have campus placements in Bachelors. No culture of field projects or internships as well. Students mostly pursue a masters degree after the bachelors there or opt for bank jobs via competitive exams on their own.

Placements: Placements in our batch and seniors were quite well, but the market scenario was a bit bleak. In our batch, The highest salary package is offered by Powergrid Corporation of India Limited, which is 13.6 LPA, and Uttam Galva Steels Limited offered the lowest salary package of 3.5 LPA. Most of the students got internships in their third year, and very few internships were paid.

Placements: The placement scenario in the college was very good. Almost all the students were placed. The salary statistics differed from department to department. The range was 3- 12 lakhs per annum in 2013. Internship was also provided by the college. Most of the internship were unpaid.
