Placements: You can sit for placements only after completing a Master's from this department. The highest placement this year was 16.45 lacs, and the average was 10.4 lacs. Many renowned companies hire directly from this department, like Deloitte, HSBC, Citibank, KPMG, and TCS.
Placements: On average 90% of students get placements. About 18 LPA is the highest paid and 2.4 LPA is the lowest paid. Many companies come here to hire students. Many students got intern about 90% of students get internships. WBCS officer is the most common role in our department.
Placements: The English department doesn't provide placements; rather, we can get recommended by professors, which might take us a long way. Being aware of the lack of it, the students are proactive in their approach—always seeking out opportunities and internships; the interdisciplinary nature of the department allows students to pan out in areas of filmography, journalism, curation, art, philosophy, writers, teachers, critics, even in mathematics if they choose to, founders of organizations, and much more...
Placements: Eligibility for placement is definitely to finish your degree without backlogs. Other than that, certain criteria were set up only by the company that was looking to hire. The students in engineering have massive placements where the package might even hit as high as 1.5 crore per year. The placement percentage is also around 90%. I am preparing for UPSC, so I didn't take a job.
Placements: Jadavpur University is a prestigious university in India. quality education is provided here. Every year, technical background students get lucrative job offers. In Arts after B.A., the scenario is different in terms of placement except Economics. Those students who want to pursue higher studies will find the course highly effective. But companies do come and recruitment does happen. This year, students were also given the opportunities to sit for placement-related exams for several companies. M...
Placements: B.A. English is not a professional course but rather an academic one. Hence, placements do not take place. Most people pursue master's and PhD degrees before starting a job. Consequently, we are not offered any internships. It is purely an academic course.
Placements: There is no compulsory placement system in the Arts faculty, although we do have a Placement Cell, and through that one can easily get information and be notified about placements. Most of the students go on to higher studies. Our department offers integrated courses, so if you are planning for higher studies in history, I would definitely suggest you join us.
Placements: Our course is a general course, so our placement percentage is 65%. To recruit companies like ABP, Protidin, AJ Kal, etc. Our course is offered by a top journalist company as a reporter and writer. The highest package is 13 lacs, and the lowest package is 8 lacs. Our course students are interns from the journalist company.
Placements: 60% of students are placed in our department. The top recruiters are ABP, Aaj Tak, Protidin, and any other companies that visit our department. The highest package is 10 LPA and average package is 7 LPA. 70–80% students got internships in our department at AajTak, AnandaBazar, etc.
Placements: Arts faculty students express their belief that the availability of placements and internships is satisfactory in comparison to engineering students. However, the absence of a dedicated placements cell and limited opportunities for arts students raises concerns, as it appears that only engineering students reap the benefits of internships and job placements. The college boasts numerous scholars and professors who engage in significant research, resulting in diverse innovations. Nevertheless, the...
Placements: Recruitment is likely low in the arts as only a few schools, organisations and HRs come to recruit students. The average package in the last year was 4-5LPA. The recruitment system was quite smooth and at the end of the final year, students generally get placed.
Placements: We really don't have placements for Undergraduate students rather teaching and other research-related placements are offered during Masters, where a better understanding of the subject knowledge is completed by the individual. Also, I don't know much about the companies, but many students usually pursue a civil service career or as a researcher since the subject of sociology is theoretical more.
Placements: About 100% placement from studying here. As this is a government college so the fee structure is very less which everyone can afford. If a person studies passionately can surely achieve whatever he/she wants in life because placement is provided here it depends on people how can perform.
Placements: There are almost 83 students in our class. I have got this course at a minimum amount. It provides good placements opportunities. The regular events and interactions make students eligible to represent themselves before any company as it gets added up to students' CV.
Placements: Pursuing B.A. in any subject doesn't assure a placement unlike other degrees like a B.Tech or B.Com etc. Whenever a student chooses to pursue B.A. they must prepare themselves for a long term investment as they will have to do M.A. and then Ph.D. if they want. Otherwise competitive exams are always an option. Here, at Jadavpur University students get into M.A. easily when compared to other universities but there is obviously a certain level of difficulty which is very obvious. Continuing in the ...
Placements: Most students pursue M.A. and sit for NET/SET to be eligible for JRF and lecturer posts. The university exchange program is conducted by the authority with other foreign universities for one or two semesters. Students can also complete their M.Phil and PhD here by interview fulfilling the required qualifications.
Placements: More than 10% of students were placed. Almost 65 to 75% of students are offered placement opportunities in our course. Many private companies offered placements to 1% of students. 1% of merit students got a chance of direct placements.
Placements: The economics course at Jadavpur University has the highest returns for placements. After BA, students pursue higher studies, but if they want a job, the course equips them with all skills that may be needed. For the MA economics, the highest salary package offered is 12 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 7 LPA, which is pretty decent for West Bengal. Top recruiters are Citi Bank and HSBC. Students have a great academic record and even got placed in top universities such as DSE, ISI,...
Placements: In the arts department, students focus more on clearing the NET. But a lot of students opt for placements in media companies, NGOs, and ad agencies, etc. The salary offered varies, and it is ranged between Rs. 25,000 per month to Rs. 75,000 per month depending on the job and the location of the job.
