All the faculty members are experts and very supportive.
Placements: There are about 62 students in my class, and the college provides placement services for over 100 students. We start receiving job applications from the third semester onward. The placement cell is well-staffed, and they maintain separate WhatsApp groups and send applications via Gmail. They keep us informed well in advance.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good, but the college is very small and cramped for space. The college has a canteen and a library for learning beyond the curriculum. There are many clubs and the college conducts many programs and celebrations. The hostel is quite expensive, but the rooms and food are good. There is a curfew, and girls must be in their rooms by 8:30 every day except Sunday.
Faculty: The faculty in our department are very knowledgeable and supportive. They have high qualifications, and the course curriculum is good. They cover everything, and they provide internships at the end of the second semester. We have MCQ, midterm, and preparatory exams before the semester exams.

    Satisfied with the faculty
Placements: Placements were not provided for the forensic science batch. The person in the placement cell is not at all helpful in any way and is not guiding the students properly. So many times we visited his cabin for help regarding placement, but many times he is not available to listen to us.
Infrastructure: Well-maintained labs were provided to all the students. The instruments were available during college hours, and all the students were free to work with the instruments. I was not staying in the college hostel, so I am not aware of it, but many of my friends were there in the college hostel and gave good reviews about the hostel.
Faculty: All the faculties in our department were helpful with study materials, practicals, and they have a nice teaching quality. The course and curriculum were totally relevant and made students industry-ready. Semester exams were quite good, and everyone gets good marks in the class.
Other: I think in placements, colleges should work so that the students believe in themselves and grow in this field peacefully.

    M.Sc. in Psychology (Clinical / Industrial / Counselling) - Batch of 2024
Offered by School of Graduate Studies, Jain Deemed-to-be University, Bangalore

Great faculty, needs more structured industry-based curriculum, and really great social calendar .
Placements: I'm answering from the perspective of placements for clinical psychology students and the placement cell is not equipped to find jobs in this field. Very few students and seniors opted for jobs posted by the placement cell, as most of them were not relevant. The packages were also not equivalent to the fee we paid; they began at 25,000 only and the cell didn't post jobs from premier hospitals or institutions. The placement cell did not respond to queries as well.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for the most part, is good. Classrooms are spacious. Wi-Fi is not provided and signal access for mobile data can be weak. The library is distinguished and contains a good collection of books for both UG and PG students. The Jain University hostel is run by Mojo. There were no sports or games during my stay, although they brought in some new additions towards the end of my stay. Cleanliness is not good in the JU hostels. We used to have rates in our corridors and there are no lift provisions, even though we have to go to the 5th floor to get food and water. The newer buildings are better. The food was mediocre in taste with a limited menu but there were 4-5 items served every day. I have witnessed complaints about the cleanliness of food as well. No medical facilities are provided by the hostel, even with the promise of medical insurance.
Faculty: The faculty-to-student ratio in the department makes a big difference. Faculty members are hired from premier institutions. Their connections and resources helped me a lot to grow as a student. The curriculum is relevant, although it needs to be more intensive and structured. Too much information is dumped in one semester and we don't get practical learning or pro bono counselling sessions with supervision for psychotherapy. That is a major con in terms of the competency and skill required in psychology and counseling. Semester exams are difficult, ranging from moderate to difficult. The questions are strictly application based and exams are for 50 marks, while the other 50 marks are for projects, attendance and project-centered learning.
Other: I chose this course as I wanted a well-rounded exposure to students and faculty from various backgrounds while pursuing a Masters. The course could've been better if they trained us better at psychometry and psychotherapy, which are crucial industry skills. The college has events every month and a very steady social calendar. The psychology department also had its very own annual festival conducted by the Psychology Club, Manvantara.

    Brutally honest review of Jain.
Placements: Both offline and online internships are offered, but the placement is not that great for psychology students. The department faculty connected with the organization to ensure students completed there internship successfully. We have two periods of one month each for internships. There is no stipend for online internships; however, offline internships pay a minimum of 10,000. Placement is an average hospital from Bangalore and Mysore that comes and hires students. The average salary is only around 4.2 LPA.
Infrastructure: Jain has a chilled campus environment, and Manvantara is a psychology club. You will learn a lot from here about psychology. The class count for the master course is too large; classrooms have digital infrastructure. Our library has a lot of books we can take and return at any time. I had paid about 1 lakh a year for hostels. Although hostels were nice, hostel food was boring and not good enough for students. The hostel admissions process is very simple and easy. The college has very little sports equipment and sports opportunities.
Faculty: Brutally honest, the Jain psychology faculty is not good. They give students a PowerPoint of 50–60 slides per subject and say that if you study this, you will get good grades. But this is not enough for past graduation level; from this, we will hardly get any knowledge and fail to deliver well in interviews. They have good qualifications but are not made for teaching. The course curriculum is rigid, very tough and time-consuming; it takes a lot of time to cover the whole syllabus. Also, the college routine is unpredictable, and management is not good. Examinations are tough but teachers PPT helps in exams but does not improve knowledge.

Review of School of Allied Healthcare and Sciences.
Placements: There are internships available but not good placements for M.Sc Psychology i.e clinical. Students will be provided with internships in the 3rd semester of the course. But the rest of the courses have good placements provided.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are not provided. The college has tie-ups with paying guests and has provided students with the lists of PGs they can choose from. The classrooms are air conditioned and well lit, and fully ventilated also. The campus is good, but it is one single building.
Faculty: The exams are held weekly. The teaching quality is good. The teachers are knowledgeable and pass on everything required for exams. They explain well. The curriculum is very relevant, and the main semester exams are supposed to happen every six months.
Other: The campus facilities are good and events are also celebrated.

Amazing faculty but only textbook knowledge .
Placements: Looking into the placement opportunities that the University has to offer I would say that its not that up to the mark as of what you have invested as a college fee and what you will get back in return will never match. The course that I am enrolled in has even lower percentage of on campus hiring because of which it makes it very difficult to get a placement. The average package offered starts from 25,000.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the University is really nice, there are AC's in every classroom, the library is huge with computers installed for use as well as a good study space. I didn't chose to stay in the campus hostel as taking a PG outside is much more cheaper and you get plenty of options.
Faculty: The faculty is very helpful, I feel this is one of the biggest plus point of the university that the faculty is just amazing. They will always look out for you and they make a point to make the classes engaging rather than them just giving a lecture. Apart from the faculty the course curriculum is also valid to what needs to be taught but unfortunate its too vast and sometimes the writing part over power the understanding part as the University will bomb you with endless assignments and practical.
Other: The university do proud a good college life. You will get to meet people so many different people from around the country. Apart from focusing on academics the University also gives good emphasis on student's engagement in clubs, fest and all the extra curricular .
