Yes, the MBBS course offered by Jamia Hamdard University is recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI). Jamia Hamdard admission to MBBS is through NEET-UG Counselling by MCC. The NEET counselling is segregated into two categories, central or national, and state counselling. Jamia Hamdard MBBS admission is done based on aspirants NEET scores. The university released its application form on Mar 15 for all the programmes. In addition, the application deadline was Jun 20. As per an official notification, the admissions closed on Aug 30. Hence, the Jamia Hamdard MBBS 2025 application form can be expected to be released in March.

Jamia Hamdard University (Deemed-to-be) offers an MBBS programme of four-and-a-half-year duration followed by one year of compulsory rotating internship. A total of 150 seats are allotted for this course and admission is subject to the NEET-UG exam followed by counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee of the Directorate General of Health Services (UG merit list of respective categories).

Aspirants who have completed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry,  Biology/ Biotechnology and English subjects individually in the qualifying examination with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for General PwD and 40% aggregate for reserved category candidates) can apply for MBBS programme.

Candidates do not need to pre-register any where to apply for Jamia Hamdard University MBBS programme. All seats (General, Muslim Reserved & NRI) are allotted through NEET-UG Counseling through MCC of DGHS under MoHFW, GoI only. Step 1: Visit the NEET 2024 official website.

Step 2: Click on the tab indicating Registration.

Step 3: Read all the instructions and register with personal details such as name, contact details, password, etc. to generate the application number and password.

Step 4: Register for NEET 2024 by entering personal, contact details and password.

Step 5: Verify OTP received through SMS and email.

Step 6: After the credentials are generated, log in and fill up the application form with personal and educational details, exam medium and exam city preference and photograph and signature upload.

Step 7: Pay the application fee in online mode through credit/debit card, net banking, Paytm and UPI.

NTA released the re-revised scorecard on July 26, 2024. In this scorecard, the score has been revised as per the Supreme Court verdict of removing the bonus marks awarded earlier for the controversial Physics question, and deducting one mark from those who marked incorrect answer options. The city and centre-wise result data such as number of candidates appeared and scores obtained, by masking candidates' personal data was released on July 21, as per the Supreme Court order given on the hearing dated July 18, 2024. The NEET 2024 result for the re-exam, which was conducted on June 23, was declared on July 1, day day after the slated date. The final answer keys for the NEET 2024 re-exam was released by June 30, ahead of the result declaration. Earlier, the result of NEET 2024 was declared by NTA on June 4, 2024, 10 days ahead of the original schedule, which was June 14, 2024. NTA released the final NEET answer keys on June 4, prior to the release of the NEET result 2024. The NEET result was declared in an online mode. Candidates have to log in with their registration credentials or application number and date of birth, and download their scorecard in PDF format. NTA also released the merit list containing the name, Roll Number, All India Rank and Percentile of the candidates. Along with the NEET 2024 scorecard, NTA also released the NEET 2024 cutoff marks or the qualifying marks/scores.

NEET 2024 was conducted on May 5, 2024, from 2 PM to 5.20 PM (IST). NTA conducted the exam in 571 cities across India and abroad. Around 20 lakh candidates appeared for the exam. The difficulty level of the exam was moderate to tough. NEET is a paper-pencil based test (PBT) consisting of a total of 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Out of this, candidates had to attempt 180 questions. The total marks of the exam is 720.

NTA is expected to start the NEET 2025 registration in the first week of March 2025. The last date of application will be scheduled in the first week of April 2025. Based on student requests and other external factors, NTA may extend or reopen the NEET application window by mid-April. NEET 2025 is expected to be conducted in the first week of May 2025. NEET 2025 application process will be conducted online. Candidates have to fill and submit the application form in an online mode along with the payment of the application fee.

As per the Jamia Hamdard NEET cut off 2023, the closing rank for General category candidates for Round 1 was 56658, for Round 2 and 3 it was 59571 for the General category All India Quota. Only candidates with a NEET score are allowed to participate in Jamia Hamdard's admissions to the MBBS course.
