    Q:   I've scored less than 50% in 12th boards, can I get admission in BA course at JNU?

    A: 

    Candidates seeking admissions to the BA programme offered at JNU must meet the specified basic eligibility criteria, i.e. Class 12 or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 45% from a recognised board. Hence, as long as the applicants have scored 45% or above in Class 12, they are eligible to apply for the course. However, the selection for admissions in BA at JNU is done on the basis of a valid score obtained by the students in the CUET UG entrance exam. Only those who make it to the cut-off specified by the university in the entrance exam and satisfy all the eligibility requirements will be allotted a seat at JNU. In the event of not clearing the entrance test, interested students can opt for Online BA courses offered by various other colleges to pursue instead.

    CUET UG 2025 exam will be conducted tentatively in third week of May 2025. NTA will release the official notification for CUET UG exam date before the release of notification. Candidates will be able to know exam details through CUET UG information bulletin. NTA will conduct CUET UG 2025 exam in multiple phases depending upon the number of candidates registering for the exam. Registered candidates will know the exact CUET UG exam on release of the hall ticket. CUET UG 2025 exam will be a hybrid mode i.e., candidates will have to report at the alloted exam centre on the day of the examination. The exam will be held in two to three slots each day depending upon the subject combinations chosen by the candidate.
