PhD 2024-25 2nd merit list for admissions will be published tentatively on Jan 8, 2025.
JNU also offers PhD and MPhil programmes in numerous specialisations via 16 schools and centres. JNU PhD admission 2022 is primarily based on a Computer Based Test (CBT), conducted by the University. CSIR/ UGC NET qualified candidates are, however, exempted from the test and are directly called for an interview round.

JNU offers PhD programmes under various specialisations via multiple schools and centres. The University offers over 60 specialisations. Minimum eligibility criteria of a few specialisations offered under JNU PhD programmes are tabulated below:

JNU PhD Application Process 2022
JNU application process for almost all the courses takes place via JNUEE. Therefore, candidates need to visit the official website of NTA (www.jnuexams.nta.nic.in) to register themselves. The application fee of JNU varies from course to course. The complete step-wise application process of JNU for PhD admission 2022 is represented below:
Step 1: Visit the official website of JNU and register yourself by putting in your personal details.
Step 2: Fill out the online application form with Qualification Details.
Step 3: Upload scanned images of the photograph and signature. The image should be in jpg/jpeg format only. The size of the photo image must be between 10 kb to 200 kb.
Step 4: Pay the application fee through an online payment mode.
