STEP 2: Shortlisting of Students

For JNU BSc course admission, the course aspirant should have passed Class 12 or any equivalent examination with a minimum 45% aggregate from a recognised board. Candidate should have passed the qualifying exam from a recognised board. It is also necessary that the student carry the educational document at the time of form filling and admission. Q: I have scored less than 50% in 12th boards. Can I get admission in regular college for B.Tech?
For most colleges, the basic eligibility criteria for admission in the BTech programme requires the applicants to score a minimum aggregate of 45-75% in Class 12 or its equivalent, depending on the course, specialisations, and college selected by the students. However, the selection for BTech courses in a majority of colleges, including JNU is done on the basis of valid score obtained by the students in the entrance exams such as JEE Main, MHT CET, etc. Hence, it can not be said surely if one can secure their admission in a regular college if they have scored less than 50% in their Class 12 boards.
