How to prepare for JNUEE/ JNU CUET

In order to ace the JNU entrance exam, students need to prepare well, have a time schedule, have all the right study material, should know the exam pattern, marking scheme and syllabus. Candidates can go through the following steps. 

Know the Exam Pattern

Students should know the exam pattern of JNUEE. Is it in MCQ format or long descriptive questions? What will the duration of the entrance exam be? Will the entrance exam be conducted offline or online? It is these small questions which matter and candidate appearing for JNUEE should know the exam pattern

Know the Marking Scheme

The candidate should know how many marks is the question paper for. Will there be negative marking? How many sections carry how many marks? What is the weightage of marks per question? Other than the exam, how many marks is the interview round? Be it an undergraduate course or PhD, the student needs to know the weightage of marks in the question paper. 

Know the Syllabus

The most important part while preparing is having the syllabus for the course applied for. Once you have the course, it is easier for the candidate to understand the topics covered. Even if the topics are not available in books, students can study from the internet. All questions in the entrance exam will come from the prescribed syllabus, other than current affairs. 

Solve Previous Years Question Papers

Try and get the previous years' question paper so that you can have a better understanding of you can expect in the entrance exam. You can know the pattern, the marking scheme, the type of questions asked, the total number of sections and much more. 

Get Prep Books

Other than the syllabus, candidates are advised to get prep books as well so that the aspirant can study and prepare better for the entrance exam. You can solve various questions and over many topics as well.

Time Management

Make a time schedule as to how much study material you can cover on an hourly, daily, weekly and monthly basis. Once you have everything planned out, there should be no trouble of studding information at the last minute. 

Revision

Once you have covered a topic, go through it again. Revise. If not immediately after covering the topic, try and do it at the end of the day. Revision is key.
