Jiwaji University Gwalior History:

On December 11, 1964, Late Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan laid the foundation stone of this 225 acres of land at the Naulakha Parade Ground.
The University was named after Kailashwasi Shrimant Jiwajirao Scindia and officially birthed on May 23, 1964.
The University began with 25 affiliated colleges, marking the territorial jurisdiction of the University by spreading the wings through Gwalior, Bhind, Morena, Sheopur Kalan, Shivpuri, Guna and Ashoknagar.
From 25 affiliated colleges, the University is now 47 years old with 401 government, government-aided and private colleges.
