Q:   How is life at Kannur University?

A:

At Kannur University, life seems to be pretty good based on my research and what people are saying. Students enjoy studying there, especially in courses like B.Tech, B.Com, and MCA. Teachers are considered to be good, making learning interesting.

The place itself is nice, with big classrooms, modern teaching tools, and good libraries. However, there are some issues with exams and results taking a bit longer, which could be better.

Getting a job after finishing studies is a bit of a mixed bag. Some departments help students get placed well, especially in companies like Wipro and Infosys. But in certain areas like civil and mechanical engineering, it's a bit tough.

Apart from studies, there are cool things happening on campus, like art festivals, sports days, and tech fests. These events make college life fun and interesting.

It's also highlighted that doing internships is important, and some students feel that the hostel facilities are okay, while others have different opinions. Food in the mess gets different reviews too.

So, overall, life at Kannur University seems like a balanced journey of studying, enjoying events, and figuring out job opportunities. It's a place where you can learn, have fun, and prepare for your future.

I am absolutely satisfied. Less placements. Really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: There are low chances of placements. Some companies come and take interviews. The college provides Bachelor of Science, Commerce, and Arts subjects. Therefore, most of the students go for higher studies. The college provides fewer chances of placements.
Infrastructure: Payyanur College provides great facilities and infrastructure for each course. Labs and library facilities are available here, including Physics labs, Zoology and Botany labs, and Commerce labs. The library is very helpful. The college provides a ladies' hostel with good facilities.
Faculty: The teachers were very helpful, well-qualified and knowledgeable. My department teachers were very helpful mentally. There will be semester exams and unit tests. The semester exams are sometimes easy and sometimes difficult. The university questions were difficult most of the time.

Don Bosco Arts and Science for MCJ admission in 2025 in Muvattupuzha.
Placements: This college is best for placement because it provides a high salary for every number of students. In this course, admission is required with 70 percent or above in your qualification degree. There are multiple companies interested in the college and they provide the best packages, like 4 Lacs to 12 Lacs, with the maximum salary provided by the college campus.
Infrastructure: This college uses high-quality infrastructure. Many facilities are provided by the college, such as classrooms, hostels, labs, libraries, drinking water, and the best Wi-Fi connectivity, etc. The college provides canteen food, and it is very clean and tasty.
Faculty: The teachers and professors are very intelligent and highly knowledgeable. They provide teaching in this course. This course is basically a 2-year course and 2-semester exams are conducted by the college. This course has a total of 750 marks, and 410 marks are compulsory to pass the exam.

B.Com. in Computer Application - Batch of 2027
Offered by SIBGA Institute of Advanced Studies

I'm disappointed with the management in my college.
Placements: There are only a few students in my course, and the highest package is INR 18,000 per month and INR 15,000 average. The lowest is 10,000 per month. Mostly, by choosing B.Com, we can get into a company as an accountant. We can work as an accountant or start a business.
Infrastructure: The library at my college is perfect, with a lot of good books to read. The department is very big, with eight classrooms that can hold about 50 students each. However, Wi-Fi is only available in the computer lab, and the college does not share Wi-Fi with students.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful. They make sure we study the portions that they cover in class that day. All the teachers are highly knowledgeable and qualified for teaching by the government of Kerala. The course curriculum is relevant and provides many ideas on how a business should be maintained. The semester exams were somewhat tough this year because of a new program called FYUGP. To pass, we need to get 40% of 70 and 30 and 50.
Other: I chose this course because I studied commerce in higher secondary school, and this course is a good match for what I studied at the +2 level. I would like the college management to conduct a good program at our college. They should also motivate students by offering prizes for different sports.

Good College, No Placement, Good Campus Life
Placements: Placements are low. No placement is taking place here. The package is very low, and no student gets placed. Students mainly opt for higher studies rather than placements. Some students do internships, but the number is very low. Only 1% opt for internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good and awesome here. High-speed Wi-Fi is available. Classrooms are highly furnished, and high-tech labs are present. The quality of the library is highly commendable with thousands of books. The collection of books is very good, and the library atmosphere is calm.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and helpful. Most of them hold Ph.D. degrees and are NET-qualified. They are highly knowledgeable, but some teachers here are less knowledgeable. The curriculum is irrelevant and does not make students industry-ready. Semester exams are good and of low difficulty.

Brennen College is one of the best college in Kannur, Kerala.
Placements: Good placement after you finished your degree, minimum 70%. Many other opportunities will open up from a degree. If you have more than 70%, you will get many opportunities from other companies; also, there are many courses at my college you can choose as you wish.
Infrastructure: The hostel, classroom, and library are all well maintained, and good quality Wi-Fi is available for all classes, but the canteen is small, but there are no compromises in food; it's very tasty. And in sports, we are the current champions at Kannur University. We got many trophies for that.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are very helpful. There are many books to refer to and many other facilities for study. There are many small exams there for preparation for the semester. The pass mark is a minimum of 16 marks out of 40. I always prefer the college to study and enjoy the campus life.
Other: I chose the course because there are many opportunities for this course; there are also many campus activities and fest events that were conducted by the college union, etc.

College has good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: This is a normal degree course. There are no placements. This course is helpful for achieving higher educational purposes and examinations. This college does not offer placements in recruiting companies. The roles offered in Chemistry are teaching and in pharmaceutical companies.
Infrastructure: There are really good facilities in the college. As a Chemistry student, good lab facilities are very important. Here, the lab facilities are really impressive. We have three Chemistry labs in our department, which are used by 1st-year, 2nd-year, and 3rd-year students, as well as PG students.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. Teaching quality is fine. Course curriculum is relevant. I don't think it fully prepares students. The difficulty of the semester exams fluctuates, it's pretty average. The pass percentage is 70%.
