Karnataka State Dr. Gangubhai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University, popularly known as KSGH Music and Performing Arts University, offers dedicated courses for study in Music and Performing Arts. As a Public University, it was established in the year 2008 by the Government of Karnataka through the University Act 2009 with a vision to promote dance and music.
It offers a range of full-time BA, MA and diploma courses in streams like Music, Dance, and Yoga. Recognised as a ‘Music University’, it is affiliated by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It comprises of nine departments specialising in Karnataka Music-Vocal, Hindustani Music-Vocal, Mrudanga, Violin, Veena, Sitar, Bharathanatya, Drama and Tabla.

KSGH Music and Performing Arts University admission 2020 in all courses is offered basis students’ performance in the entrance exam held by the University. To apply for certification courses, the minimum age requirement is 16 years with a mandate to read and write Kannada.
Candidates can either apply in online or offline mode for the courses offered. Online registration can be completed following the steps below:
