Absolutely dissatisfied, poor campus life, poor faculties, difficult to find friends
Placements: The placements are pretty good. Most students get placed outside Kerala. But the opportunities are less in India. The salary packages are not satisfying. This course has better scope in European countries. Since the course doesn't have AICTE accreditation, top companies usually don't come for recruitments. It's the students who research jobs for themselves. The internships are also conducted like this. Students find companies and apply for internships. The course helps us to get into food industries. We can work as a food inspector, a processes food developer etc.
Infrastructure: The college has labs for each subject which are in a very good condition. Students are allowed to use the same under the surveillance of faculty members. Wi-Fi connections are not that good. Students don’t get Wi-Fi connection. The library which is situated opposite to our campus offers study materials. Girls studying in first year of any course don't get access to women's hostel due to lack of accommodation facilities. The food is okay, there’s nothing to complain about it. Since the number of boys is less in the college, they get hostel facilities from the first year itself. The sports facility is not good. There is no good infrastructure for it. If you are looking forward to continue your sports career as a side hustle, this isn't a place for you. Make your choices wisely.
Faculty: In our department, we have only 4 permanent faculty members. Others are guest lecturers. Even the DEAN is temporary. Since we have only less permanent faculty members, most of the time they won't come to take lectures because they hav to have a lot of meetings for the smooth running of the course. At the end of the semester, most of the syllabus might not be over. The passing percentage depends on the need of the students to complete the course. Teachers don't care whether you are studying or not. Semester exams are conducted by the college itself. The question paper comes from outside the campus while the permanent faculty members decide the topics for the exams. The semester exams are easy if you study well. If you are a person who studies few days before exam, you are going to suffer because the college conducts exams without any order. Sometimes they conduct 2 exams in a day, continuous semester exams without any study leave in between.
Other: I would recommend to not come to this college. You will feel bad because the campus life is poor. There are no much students in the college. If you are a person who likes to enjoy your college life, never come here. You better go to some reputed universities like LPU, Manipal etc. The students who only come to study can survive here.

The university provides well-equipped separate hostel.
Placements: Our course in B.Tech in food technology has 43 students. The recruiting companies are ITC, parle, Nestle and Nedspice etc. Almost all students do an internship in their respective field of interest in the top emerging companies. Our course offers top roles such as food safety officers, quality controllers and new product development etc.
Infrastructure: The university provides well-equipped separate hostels for both boys and girls. There are many facilities and infrastructure provided by the university so that students can excel in their talents. There is a neat and clean canteen with quality food available. The university conducts a food fest, sports and arts each and every year.
Faculty: There is a well-graduated and qualified staff with PhD and research. In each semester industrial visits, and after the end of the course, the students are ready for a professional job. There is a well-designed syllabus for the course and the examinations were conducted at the end of each semester based on the syllabus. The end-semester examinations are usually involving application-level questions. An average student can pass easily.
Other: I chose this course because it's one of the new and emerging courses having widespread opportunities. Every year students take initiative to conduct college fests, events etc. And there are several scholarships for meritorious students.

Review of Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies.
Placements: Top recruiting companies are Nedspice, Lazza, etc. Almost all students get chances to do internships in their respective fields, and they can choose companies as per their interests and talents. The major roles are food and safety officer, quality assurance officer, quality control officer, etc.
Infrastructure: The university provides well-equipped laboratories as well as separate hostels for boys and girls. In every classroom, there is a projector, a Wi-Fi connection, etc. Classrooms are large enough to accommodate students. Hostels are good and serve good food. They conduct sports and games so that students can develop their talents in their respective games and sports.
Faculty: We have well-qualified and knowledgeable teachers. Students are trained mentally and physically so that they can achieve more. Semester exams are based on the syllabus for the course, and the pass percentage is good.
Other: I chose this course because it's one of the emerging courses. It provides lots of job opportunities.
