    My medical education
Placements: In our batch, there are no placement opportunities. Instead, there is an internship. We get to do one year of internship in our hospital itself. During this period, we will be given a stipend of about twenty-five thousand. We will be posted in different departments such as medicine, orthopedics, pediatrics, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college is a well-developed college with fine infrastructure. Our classes have centralized AC. We have many additional buildings such as a gym, central lab, indoor stadium, and many auditoriums, etc. I'm staying in a government hostel, and in my hostel room, there are four members. The hostel mess is of high quality.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified doctors specialized in their respective departments. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. Our course runs under the CBME curriculum, which stands for Competency-Based Medical Education. We have continuous class tests here. They are often very difficult.
Other: I chose this course randomly just based on my NEET rank. But now I really like my course and college. There are so many events and fests in the college. Our college gives much importance to extracurricular activities as much as academics. There are so many scholarships available, such as eGrantz.

    Government Medical College, Thrissur.
Placements: We have a class strength of 175 students. The total fees are 26,630 rupees per year. This includes all the tuition fees, special fees, and van fees. Scholarships are available for various categories like OBC, SC, and ST. Also, after 4 years of the course, we have a 1-year internship.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. They provide a separate academic block, a well-filled library along with a study hall. Classrooms are air-conditioned and provided with smart class facilities. We have a government hostel here with 3 persons per room and a mess with a good menu and affordable rates.
Faculty: Each department has a number of faculty members who are well-experienced. Apart from teaching, they also provide individual mentorship. The curriculum is very good. They also try to keep us interested in the course. The semester exams are good. They contain both subjective and objective questions. We have to get 50% of the total score in order to pass.
Other: I chose this college solely because of my passion and interest. Moreover, the academics and other cultural activities here are very good. Apart from academics, they also provide arts, sports, and other celebrations like Onam, Christmas, etc.

I am satisfied with the facilities and infrastructure available at my college.
Placements: I am studying at MS medical college. There are hundred and fifty students in my class. Hundred percentage placement is assured. The highest package is for NRI quota and is of about twenty Lacs per year. The lowest package is for special reservation like SC, ST, and is free of cost.
Infrastructure: We have a well-equipped classroom with well-maintained centralized air conditioning. Good and calm atmospheric library with all days availability. Hostel facilities are also good with good quality variety foods. 24-hour medical facility is available.
Faculty: All teachers are well-educated and highly qualified with good quality of teaching. They are really helpful and very friendly so that we can approach them anytime for any help. Exams are very difficult but are approachable. We have almost 90 percentage pass every year.
Other: I choose this course as it is a job-assured course.

Good college for spending 5 years.
Placements: Nearly all are having jobs because it's a medical college, so everyone can earn either by working private or government jobs. They can also earn even if they are doing PGs in the form of a stipend. Job opportunities are increasing every day as the number of patients is increasing.
Infrastructure: College is very old, so infrastructure is old, but it is still standing strong. Some part of college is new. Hostels are very nice and very near to college with very good mess facilities. There is a bridge that is connecting the boys hostel to the college, so it is easy to go.
Faculty: The faculty is very nice and helpful. Semesters are moderate, but marking is tough. Because teachers are making sure that we are prepared for university exams. Faculty will help you to pass every exam and will be initiating many other plans so that we can learn easily.
Other: I chose this course because it was my dream to study in Kerala. It is the oldest college. Mess food is very nice for Keralites but not for North Indian students. Lots and lots of fests are organized every year, which include both arts and sports.

Review of Dr. Somervell Memorial CSI Medical College and Hospital.
Placements: The college does not provide any placement, but it does provide internship opportunities. There is a 1-year compulsory rotation internship that is required to be given to the students by the college in their own hospital, and we are paid for the same too.
Infrastructure: This college is mostly inclined academically, and here most of the faculty are highly qualified and experienced and always ready to help you out. its all about your interest and dedication, which you need to take in with the faculty, and they are happy to help you out. Hostel life is bad. The mess food is the worst, and the administration mostly does not do anything about it. No matter the amount of complaining you do, it still remains the same. You have to adjust to it. We do have a gym in the hostel, which could be used by the student, but the facilities are below par, and there is a lack of necessary equipment.
Faculty: Talking about the faculty, they are highly trained, qualified, and experienced professors who are keen to teach you. They are ready to help you with your doubts and curiosity. The curriculum followed is laid out by NMC itself, so it makes us ready to deal with real-life situations, and a good hands-on experience is made available in the college. Talking about their exams, they are on par with what the KUHS (university) holds at the end of the year. At first, most of the students fail, but they start passing once they get a grasp of the subject and syllabus.
Other: The college life is not that great, like if you are planning to take admission, you can, but remember that it's academically inclined, so you won't have many fests or events. There is no college nightlife, like the gate timing of the college is 7pm, post that no one is allowed to go outside of the hostel.

    Good and bad about MS.
Placements: There are about 150 students in my class. Most of us will get RMO (Regional Medical Officer) positions after we complete our course in our own hospital. The internship is done in our own college. Academically, the college is good but lacks in non-curricular activities.
Infrastructure: The hostel mess is good. The rooms are a bit old but still have facilities. There are no attached bathrooms, but fans are available in all rooms. Maintenance work is needed due to the old construction. There is no Wi-Fi, but there is a basketball court inside the hostel, along with a room for students to watch sports.
Faculty: The faculty members are qualified and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is also nice. The curriculum is vast and includes relevant topics. The semesters are not that difficult, and the pass percentage is above 80 percent. The teachers really help us improve our knowledge, and adequate study leaves are given.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to be a doctor at that time. However, this course is tough and vast, so anyone who takes it must be aware that it will be a long, hectic journey. It’s important to choose a college that offers non-curricular activities in addition to academics, such as events, fests, and scholarships.
