Who is Eligible for KGMU Nursing 2023?

The candidates seeking admission to KGMU Nursing are required to comply with the prescribed eligibility criteria for the state-level entrance exam. The eligibility criteria for KGMU nursing admission are mentioned below:

  • Candidate must have passed class 12, securing at least 45 per cent marks (40 per cent for SC/ST category candidates) in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English (PCBE) subjects from any recognized board.
  • Applicants from State Open School recognized by the State Government and the National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by the central government with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (PCBE) are eligible to apply.
  • The minimum age of the candidate should be 17 Years as mentioned in the information brochure/admission prospectus

Q:   Who all are eligible to apply for KGMU Nursing 2023 for BSc Nursing Course?

Candidates who have cleared class 12 exams or equivalent exams from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English subjects and have secured a minimum of 55 per cent marks in aggregate in class 12 and SC/ST category candidates should have secured 50 per cent in aggregate. Minimum age for admission is 17 years on or before 31st December 2023. The maximum age limit for admission is 35 years for Unreserved (UR), OBC, EWS, SC and ST, however the maximum Age for candidates with Physical Disability (PH) will be 40 years.

  • Candidates have to register by creating their login ID along with the password and keep them safe for future reference
  • Candidates have to carefully provide all the mandatory details and review them before submitting them. Wrongly filled and incomplete application forms are subjected to rejection. Conducting body will not entertain any enquiry in this regard.
  • After providing all the necessary details, candidates are advised to take a printout of the filled application form.

KGMU BSc Nursing 2023 Admission Process

The admission process involves the whole procedure to secure a seat via any of the entrance examinations. The process consists of filling out application forms to attend the counselling and submitting the admission fee. Below are the quick steps of the admission process:

  • Registration/Application form filling: candidates have to provide their details, academic details, upload their recent passport-size photograph and the scanned image of their signature, and submit the application fee to conclude the process.
  • Download the Admit Card: The conducting body will release the admit card at least ten or seven days before the entrance exam, and candidates have to download and take a printout of the admit card.
  • Appear for the entrance exam: The candidates must appear for the entrance exam by reporting to the allotted centre at the prescribed time and date. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall without producing the hard copy of the admit card.
  • Attend the counselling: Candidates have to attend the counselling before a personal interview, and according to the choice of selected college, candidates will be allotted seats as per their merit.

Fee submission and attending classes: After the seats are allotted, candidates have to submit the admission fee and the tuition fee at the allotted institutes and attend the courses on the prescribed dates.

KGMU Nursing 2023 Admit Card

KGMU nursing 2023 admit card will be released in July after the completion of the application form process. Lucknow, the King George's Medical University has released the admit card on their official website. KGMU nursing Admit Card is the only ticket that facilitates the candidate's entry to the examination hall; if any candidate fails to produce the admit card, they will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. The admit card has all the essential details, such as the date, timings, and venue address printed on it. The KGMU also publishes essential instructions to be followed by the candidates on the exam day. The following details shall be mentioned on the KGMU Nursing 2023 admit card:

KGMU Nursing 2023 Exam pattern

The KGMU, Lucknow, had designed KGMU Nursing 2023 exam pattern. The exam was an offline test. The question paper had three sections: physics, chemistry, and Biology. The duration of the exam was of three hours. There were 200 multiple-choice questions. All the questions were based on the syllabus of class 12. The exam was of 200 marks; each question was of one mark. The KGMU nursing 2023 exam had no negative marking. On the day of the exam, the candidates were advised to reach the centre before the commencement of the exam, and the KGMU nursing 2023 admit card is mandatory.

Q:   What will be the mode of the KGMU BSc Nursing entrance exam?

KGMU Nursing 2023 Counselling

KGMU nursing 2023 counselling will be conducted by the organizing body, KGMU, Lucknow. However, only those applicants on the merit list will be invited to the counselling session. The conducting body will invite applicants for counselling in person based on the marks they have secured in the entrance exam.

Candidates invited for the counselling have to attend the counselling online. Candidates were required to submit and verify all essential documents. The documents are needed for the verification. After completing the verification process, applicants will be allotted seats in the affiliated nursing colleges across Lucknow. The counselling will start after the declaration of the result.
