AIIMS BSc Nursing 2026: Dates (OUT), Application Started, Eligibility, Syllabus, Pattern, Results

The registration window for AIIMS Bsc Nursing and post-basic exam will begin tentatively in April 2026. The AIIMS nursing registration process will be conducted and organised online at the official website, ugcourses.aiimsexams.ac.in. Candidates will be given more than 30 days to participate in the basic and final registration process. 

The authorities will release a notice that will mention the deadline for the AIIMS BSc registration process. Applicants will be allowed to do the basic registration and further participate in the code generation and final registration. All these events will tentatively begin in March 2026. The last date for submission of Athe IIMS nursing basic application form will also be mentioned in the event calendar. 

Candidates can apply (basic registration) for the AIIMS B.Sc. Nursing, Post-basic B.Sc. Nursing and Paramedical nursing course as per the schedule announced by AIIMS Delhi. During this window candidates will be able to apply for basic registration and then proceed for final registration if the application form gets accepted. 

Firstly applicants will have to click on the link ‘Register and Set a new password’ on the AIIMS B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing Online Seat Allocation portal. Follow the instructions to set new password. Note that this password is separate from the password required to access MyPage. Students must maintain both the passwords. 

The AIIMS nursing entrance is conducted for admission to AIIMS BSc (hons). A separate entrance exam is conducted for admission to the AIIMS Nursing (Post Basic) programme. Candidates must check the AIIMS Nursing eligibility criteria mentioned below to appear for the entrance exam: 

Eligibilty Criteria for AIIMS BSc (Hons)

• It is mandatory to clear or have passed Class 12 exams or equivalent exams from a recognised board with Physics Chemistry, Biology and English subjects.
• Candidate must have secured a minimum of 55 per cent marks in aggregate in class 12.
• SC/ST category candidates should have secured 50 per cent in aggregate.

Eligibilty Criteria for AIIMS BSc (Post basic)

• To appear in the BSc (Post basic) nursing exam, candidates possessing a Diploma in GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) from any Indian Nursing Council recognised institution are eligible to apply.
• In addition, the applicant must have registered themselves as nurses or midwives with the State Nursing Council.
• A mandatory six months of training as a registered nurse.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, conducts AIIMS BSc (Hons) nursing, BSc (Post-Basic) nursing, and BSc (Paramedical) entrance exams annually to grant admission to all AIIMS campuses offering nursing courses. The entrance exam is generally conducted in the month of May every year. The conducting body uses a two-stage method for registration to the BSc nursing programme. The first is through the PAAR (Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration) system, a new AIIMS method. Even though NEET UG scores are accepted for BSc Nursing (H), for admission to AIIMS Nursing courses, candidates must attempt and qualify for AIIMS BSc Nursing entrance exam. AIIMS Delhi has a separate entrance exam that grants admission to nursing and paramedical courses on the basis of the scores in written exam. Therefore, it is mandatory eligibility condition for admission in AIIMS institutes located in Delhi, Bhubaneswar and Rishikesh.

The AIIMS BSc nursing 2026 admit card will inform the candidate about the allotted test city and the address of the examination centre. Kindly check the information carefully on the day when the hall ticket gets issued online. 

Yes, you can apply for AIIMS B.Sc. Nursing if you take Mathematics, provided you also have Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and English in 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 55% (50% for SC/ST). Biology is compulsory.

Yes, AIIMS conducts both exams separately. Both the exams are generally conducted in a single day and in a single slot window. There is no official intimation about the change in the AIIMS Nursing 2026 exam pattern yet. Until last year, there was no change in the exam pattern. AIIMS New Delhi conducts the national-level entrance exam to facilitate admission into the BSc Nursing and Post Basic BSc Nursing. Yes, AIIMS BSc nursing entrance exam has a provision for negative marking. For each incorrect option chosen, -1/3 mark will be deducted. Candidates will be give 120 minutes to attempt the question paper. There will be overall 100 MCQ questions of 1 mark each.  

AIIMS Delhi allots a 2-hour duration for solving the BSc nursing exam. No extra time will be extended to attempt the paper. It is an online exam, and the exam will be submitted as the 120-minute timer concludes. 

The AIIMS BSc (H) Nursing Admit card and Post-basic admit card release dates will be announced by AIIMS Delhi. It will be available for download from the official website, aiimsexams.ac.in in PDF format. Candidates must carry the hard copy of the hall ticket to the examination centre for the purpose of verification. 

Along with the admit card, candidates must keep ready any one of the following government-approved photo IDs, such as: aadhar card, voter ID, passport, driving license, and ration card. The photo ID proof should match the photo printed on the hall ticket. A hard copy of the admit card is required for verification at the test centre.

The AIIMS Nursing admit card will be available for download till the exam date. The BSc nursing exam will be held on June 28, 2026. It is an important document which is mandatory to seek entry permission to the examination hall. Do not forget to carry it. 

Candidates are required to keep their AIIMS BSc Nursing admit cards safe with them even after the exam is concluded until the admission process is complete. The admit card serves as proof of verification for the counselling committee for granting admission. Interested individuals can check the deadline online in order to apply for admission to their selected campus and course. To proceed in the counselling process, you must achieve the AIIMS nursing cutoff score.

The AIIMS BSc Nursing counselling registration or choice filling process started on July 11, 2025. Two rounds of counselling were conducted, which were scheduled till August 7, 2025. Applicants who fulfill the eligibility criteria were allowed to appear for the counselling process. Eligible applicants had to appear in the counselling by visiting the official website. 

The second round of AIIMS BSc Nursing (H) counselling was scheduled from August 2 to August 7, 2025. The vacant seat matrix and seat allotment result was released on August 2, 2025. The institute reporting process was held from August 4 to August 7, 2025. Applicants whose name were included in the seat allocation list, can have to further appear for the counselling process by submitting the necessary documents.

The AIIMS Delhi started the open round counselling registration on September 13, 2025, as there were vacant seats after the Round-2 AIIMS BSc Nursing Counselling. After the registration concluded, authorities released the seat allotment result on September 22, 2025.  The last date for the Online acceptance of the allocation/deposit original Document after the AIIMS BSc Nursing open round counselling result was September 27, 2025.  

The AIIMS BSc Nursing 2026 application process will be done completely online. No offline application forms will be available at any AIIMS campus or bank branches. Candidates will have to apply for the nursing entrance test through the official website of AIIMS Delhi, aiimsexams.ac.in, or can directly reach bsccourses.aiimsexams.ac.in to apply for the BSc nursing exam. Before registering for the exam, candidates are advised to keep the following details ready

• Scanned/digital image of a recent colour-size photograph,

• Image of Left thumb impression

AIIMS Nursing 2026 application form process comprise of mandatory following two stages:

• Stage 1: Basic Registration 
• Stage 2: Final Registration

Basic registration is the first stage in which the candidates have to provide their personal details such as name, date of birth, email id, mobile number, scanned passport-size photo and scanned image of the signature and thumb impression. AIIMS will share a registration ID and a password with the candidate to conclude the Basic Registration process.  AIIMS has made it mandatory that the candidates won’t be able to proceed with the final registration process without generating the code and payment of an application fee.

The candidates who secure the qualifying marks as per the cutoff will be considered qualified. The qualifying status of the candidates will be mentioned on the AIIMS Nursing 2026 result. 

AIIMS Delhi will publish the status of AIIMS application forms (accept/reject) on the admission portal. Candidates were able to check the application status online through the AIIMS admission portal. Candidates need to login to the application portal and provide basic login details to find out the status of application. 

If the AIIMS application form gets accepted then the AIIMS admit card will be issued, and if the application gets rejected then no further process will be done. Candidature stands cancelled. 

AIIMS BSc nursing test center instructions will be mentioned on the AIIMS BSc nursing admit card. Candidates are advised to read the test center instructions carefully before visiting the exam center on the D-day. No, all colleges issue a different cutoff score for admission to the AIIMS BSc nursing programme.
