LUMET 2025 Exam: Application Form, Know Dates, Eligibility, Syllabus, Pattern

LUMET exam is conducted by the University of Lucknow for admission to MBA and MTTM courses offered by the affiliate colleges. The exam is conducted annually for selection of candidates. Through LUMET, candidates are allotted seats in the MBA and MTTM courses. Apart from LUMET, CAT and CMAT scores are also accepted for MBA/MTTM admission.

LUMET application form is to be filled online at the official website of Lucknow University. The application link is made available between April and June every year, during which candidates have to fill the form and pay the application fee. Every section of LUMET has equal number of questions i.e. 25. The total marks per section is also 50. The sections are: General Awareness, Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning and English Verbal Ability & Comprehension.

The total time duration of LUMET exam is 90 minutes without break. Candidates have to solve 100 questions from General Awareness, Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning and English Verbal Ability & Comprehension within 90 minutes.

With certain changes, the LUMET program is somewhat comparable to the CAT or CMAT syllabus. General Knowledge, Verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude are among the subjects covered in both tests. But in contrast to CAT or CMAT, LUMET tends to concentrate more on subjects like Business Awareness and may assign varying weights to different portions. Yes, Lucknow University accepts CAT and CMAT score for MBA admission. Candidates who wish to apply through CAT or CMAT score are not required to appear for LUMET. They can fill the Lucknow University application form and directly participate in the Personal Interview round.

Lucknow University MBA admission process includes LUMET (CAT/CMAT) and Personal Interview (PI) round. The entrance exam score carries 70 points, PI carries 30 points. The final selection will be done on the basis of the candidate's performance in these two rounds. The seat will be allotted through a common counselling. 

No, there is no sectional time limit in LUMET. Candidates have to complete the test in 90 minutes. They can divide this duration between the four sections as per their convenience or strategy. However, they must note that they should solve a good enough number of questions in all the sections to get a good overall score.

LUMET application fee is INR 1,600 for General/OBC candidates and INR 800 for SC/ST/PWD candidates. The fee payment mode is online and is to be paid via debit/credit card or net banking. Candidates must note that the application fee is non-refundable and not application for refund will be entertained under any circumstances.

LUMET is a pen and paper based test. It is conducted for 90 minutes during which candidates have to solve 100 MCQs from Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability, Comprehension and General Awareness. Every question carries 2 marks. There is no negative marking in LUMET.

At Lucknow University, admission to MBA (with specialisations) and MTTM (Masters in Travel & Tourism Management) are offered through LUMET. After clearing the LUMET, candidates have to clear the personal interview round to secure admission.

The SC/ST/OBC candidates from Uttar Pradesh will be given the benefit of reservation while the category candidates from other states will be treated as general. 

No, the Lucknow University does not send LUMET result by post to any candidate. The scorecard will be available in online mode only and until a particular date only. Candidates can check the deadline to download scorecard on the exam website.

Any candidate who has completed graduation with 50 per cent in aggregate (45 per cent for reserved category) can apply for LUMET. Final year graduation students are also eligible to apply. However, the average score of first and second year of the bachelor's degree course should meet the minimum score requirement.

LUMET questions are of easy to moderate difficulty level. They are very straightforward and not very lengthy or tricky. However, candidates need to keep in mind that they will get about 100 questions from four subjects to solve in 90 minutes. They should have good speed in solving the questions to be able to score high.

Candidates can study CAT books for Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation and Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension to cover LUMET syllabus and practice previous year LUMET question papers for exam specific preparation. 

The LUMET scorecard of every year is available for download for a limited time-period. After the admission process for a given academic session has been completed, the link to download scorecards or other documents are deactivated. Candidates can check the deadline to download scorecard on the exam website.

LUMET result is released online at the admission portal of Lucknow University. Candidates can check their LUMET result there by using their login credentials created at the time of application form fillng. The link will be activated at the official website of the university only. No other website will host the result link directly. 

LUMET has 100 questions in total. The time limit is 90 minutes, thus it is not possible to solve all 100 questions. Candidates must aim to solve a minimum of 78-80 questions correctly to get a good score. They should leave out questions which they find tough or are unsure of the correct answer.
