HiA lot depends upon your will to work and your dedication. If you have a good guide your Phd will finish within 3 years as in LPU where everything is so streamlined that it finishes by 3 years. But if you or your guide is slow it can carry on till 8 years too. So choose a college and guide with car

For Ph.D in rural development, you need to have done Post Graduation research/M.Phil. or equivalent level degree from any recognized college/university with a minimum of 50% (relax able for reserved category candidates) marks.
