Review of MSU - The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.
Placements: The placements are good in this college. The average salary package offered is around 4 LPA. A large number of companies visit our college for selection. Almost 82-85% of students are placed every year. This college is good for average students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of KCC is very good, as its location and atmosphere are good for study. It has a more attractive infrastructure, and its classrooms, labs, and webinar halls are good and air-conditioned. The college structure and buildings are good.
Faculty: The quality of education in our college is up to date. Teachers are well-skilled and have very good experience in the university and studying. The head of the department is also very experienced and guides us throughout. Campus life in our college is very great. The campus is lush green and pollution-free. Many other things are free of cost. All the students are allowed from 10 am to 5 pm.
Other: My experience is very good. I must say one student should explore the campus and make new friends and visit all the places like Gurudwara and Mandir. A library, auditorium, gym and a swimming pool are available. The university is full of opportunities.

All over Gujarat, this college provides the best ROI.
Placements: The placement scenario is not much great for our batch because of the COVID-19 pandemic. As of now, out of a total of approximately 120 students of textile course (combining of all three branches), about 15 students have got campus placements. However, it seems hopeful in the future as regular companies are again showing interest in visiting here. Welspun, Kusumgar, Arvind and Reliance are regular recruiters for our branch, and the same companies provide internship opportunities as well. Other than that, companies such as TCS and Infosys also hire students from the textile background. Although the placements are not much great this year, the internships are conducting great. Almost every student who showed interest had secured internships. Roles offered are generally GET, and apart from that, a few non-core companies offer associate consultant jobs as well.
Infrastructure: There are all the required labs and machines for the course. Although there is no modern infrastructure, studying on this beautiful campus has its own perks. Kala Bhavan (name of the faculty campus) can truly be called a green campus, and students will surely like the beauty of the campus. Wi-Fi facility is also optimal, and the speed is decent. Canteens can be better.
Faculty: The course curriculum needs to be updated with time. However, the thing is that our stream contains a lot of labs. So, we get hands-on experience on the latest machinery and techniques. Moreover, most of the faculty members here have industry experience, so they teach in a very practical manner, which is relevant for the industry.

I am satisfied with the faculty members, infrastructure and overall course.
Placements: About 70% of the students who applied for placements got placed in various companies like Welspun, Reliance, Arvind, etc. The average salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. All the students in the programme get internships in small and big textile mills like Mafatlal, Arvind, Lakshmi, etc.
Infrastructure: I am from Vadodara, so I don't know much about the hostel. However, from what I know is one of the main issues in girls hostel is timing limit which is 9:00 pm, so after that time, none of the students is allowed inside. The food available depends on the hostel in which you get admission. Both the campus and hostel have free Wi-Fi facilities, but classrooms can be better. However, labs are well-equipped, and there is a separate library for our faculty members. Overall, there is a good campus life here.
Faculty: Teachers here are qualified, knowledgeable and helpful. They are really supportive of all the activities you do. The course curriculum is relevant to the industry. They try to make us industry-ready also. Our college also tries to plan an industrial trip for education purpose but in the third year only.
Other: If you want to opt for the technically textile field, this is the best course for you as they teach you both technical and designing part of the industry. Many fests and events are organised in our college only, which include both technical and non-technical. These fests and events help you to develop your soft skills.

The college has amazing faculty, deteriorating placements, unique infra and a lifetime experience.
Placements: I am writing this on 22/03/2018. The placement scenario this year has been too depressing as the number of students in said 60 seats (textile technology and textile engineering) has gone up to 67. Only 24 of them have been placed till today, and the companies like Arvind, Wellspun, Raymond and Trident, which were among top recruiters since many years have denied even to come for placements. Instead, Wellspun took 27 students from DKTE, Ichalkaranji, and a major reason for this is the credit rating system of Maharaja Sayajirao University. I am one of the toppers here, and my percentage is 69.85% only. According to MSU's standard, I am awarded first class with distinction. The average package this year is around 3.2 LPA, and I am fortunately one among those four textile students placed in Reliance Industries Limited. RIL offers 5.5 LPA, and it is the same that you would have received from RIL if you were from an IIT/NIT. The second reason for this poor performance was incapable training and placement cell. The elite students refrain from joining it as it takes much of their time. Instead, it gets into hands of incompetent ones who are unable to take the burden of it. I am still very optimistic about this departments placement future. It has withstood 100 years in the market. The things here are temporary.
Infrastructure: We have in all the unique infrastructure one can imagine in a college. We have an among dome, which catches attention and is the soul of the college. We have hi-speed Wi-Fi both in college and hostel, and the only bad thing is that we have only one device per student and to calibrate it, we have to go to the main office (5 km away). The labs have one of the best grants given from the corporates, but they have been maintained poorly. The sports ground which is called as is Pavillion has all the sporting amenities one could imagine for in a college. Only Rs 200 per month for everyday swimming, else everything is free, and the best sports arena anywhere. You get a chance to represent MSU which is like a shortcut to nationals. The state of classrooms is terrific, and you can expect nothing out of it. The food in the canteen is extremely cheap, but it tastes average. The hostel rooms are nice, and I would say the best way to live is to live here in hostels because you get every amenity you ask for. Though the food is not nice, I must mention the classic Hansa mental library here which is definitely a place to solve all your study related problems.
Faculty: The best thing about the coaching here is the world-class faculty. I am definite in saying here that you won't get this teaching anywhere as the faculty members are highly qualified, talented, and experienced. All you would do here is or respect them all day. The methods applied by every teacher varies, some are highly technical, and some are friendly in all a mix. The only problem you would face here is that if you aren't a Gujarathi, it would be difficult for you to understand some of the teachers. The faculty to student ratio is average, and it is around 1:10. We do have frequent industrial visits arranged like Aditya Birla group, Raymond, Arvind and Rajshree polyfills are some of the companies. The curriculum of the college is up to the mark, just some updates are needed.
Other: Footprints is a national level technical event, which is one must go for as it is a lifetime experience. There are 1000's of scholarships, and in fact, the fee is just Rs. 10,000 a year, and even that can be waived. You can get more than that too, but the crowd is poor. You will find people from Saurashtra.

You can have the best future if you are from Gujarat.
Placements: Every year, a large number of students get placed in different companies. It is the best opportunity for the saving your future or career with continuing your study. In every branch, students get the best opportunity for their career and students being well-developed because, here, the students must self-deal with the company for the placement.
Infrastructure: The college has the oldest infrastructure. It is like Taj Mahal. Every facility is available in the college. The college has the strongest structures of the building. None of the building is more than two floors, and every department has beautiful space for students' facilities.
Faculty: Every teacher has enough technical knowledge, and no one is undergraduate. All are having post graduation degree or PhD. They all are included in the national level research. They are good development for Indian students and all another kind of activities.
Other: There are 3 events held in the college. They are Footprint, it is a technical event, Prenna, a non-technical, but it is the biggest fest, and Paramarsh, a national level event.
