NIT Durgapur offers BSc + MSc (integrated) programme. The institute provides admission to applicants who clear the required JEE Main cut-off. Hence, the admission process begins with the JEE Main application process. For NIT Durgapur Integrated MSc admissions 2025, the JEE (Main) will be conducted in two sessions. The registration process for the first session of the exam (to be held in January) will take place from Oct 28, 2024 to Nov 22, 2024 (tentative). NIT Durgapur admissions are entrance-based for most of the programmes. Aspirants need to qualify the respective entrance exam to take admission in the particular course. Below is entrance exam required for top NIT Durgapur courses:

NIT Durgapur does not provide a BSc programme, but an Integrated BSc + MSc programme in Chemistry. The duration of the programme is five years. It leads to a dual-degree, i.e. a BSc and an MSc degree in Chemistry. NITD has an intake of 19 students for the five-year programme. Admission to the programme is based on JEE (Main) ranks and seats are allocated through JoSAA/CSAB counselling.

NIT Durgapur admissions are primarily entrance-based.. Candidates need to first apply online for the course of their choice. They need to register for the entrance exam required for admission to the specific course. Once completed, the candidates need to appear for the entrance exam. JEE Main is required for BTech, GATE for MTech and IIT JAM for MSc admission. To be eligible for NIT Durgapur MBA admission, students need to be graduated in any stream or in the final year of graduation with at least 60% aggregate.
