As per NIRF report 2023, out of 82 students, 54 were placed during WBNUJS Kolkata LLM placements 2022. Earlier, out of 42 LLM graduates, 15 were placed during 2021 placements. From 2020 to 2022, an increasing trend was observed in the number of LLM students placed.

The West Bengal National University of Juridicial Sciences is well known for its LLM course. The duration of the course is one year. When it comes to placements, NUJS offers decent placements annually. The placement details of the LLM batch 2023 are yet to be released on the official website. Once it is released, it will be updated here. However, the placement details of LLM batch 2022 is disclosed in the NIRF report 2023. NLU Kolkata cutoff 2024 for BA LLB (Hons.), BSc LLB (Hons) and LLM admission is based on the CLAT score, followed by the CLAT Counselling. The closing rank in 2024 for the BA LLB (Hons) course stood at 262 in Round 1 and 279 in the last round of CLAT cutoff for the general AI category candidates. For the LLM programme, the Round 1 and the Last Round closing ranks were 452 and 620.

The WB National University of Juridical Sciences does not offer direct admission. Candidates need to qualify the accepted entrance exams for admission. The university considers CLAT score for admission to BA LLB (Hons), BSc LLB (Hons) and LLM courses. NLU Kolkata conducts an entrance test for admission to LLD, MSc and PhD courses. Selected candidates need to participate in the counselling round for admission.

The CLAT Consortium will conduct at least five rounds of seat allotment for CLAT 2025. Before each round, the consortium will share the seat allotment list for the remaining seats. In case there are still seats vacant after the fifth round, the counselling mop-up round will be held at institute level. In CLAT 2024 as well, there were total of five CLAT seat allotment rounds until all seats at the participating NLUs were secured by candidates.

The application fee for CLAT exam was different as per the category of a candidate. For General/OBC/PWD/PIO/OCI/NRI, the application fee was INR 4,000 and for SC/ST/BPL category, the application fee was INR 3,500. Extra charges of INR 500 were applicable if candidates wanted to obtain previous years' CLAT question papers from the exam authority. Apart from CLAT application fee and cost of question paper bundle, candidates had to pay any other charges.
