A great campus life at a nice location.

Faculty: Faculty members are very nice at least for the first two semesters as I have experienced. The course is beneficial by doing subjects like contracts, IPC, and family law in the first year gives us an edge over other law schools. The pass percentage is 40%, which is quite scorable as the internal components are well scoring with little effort.

It is the best law college in WB, ranked at 4th in the country for a reason.

Faculty: Our college has excellent faculty members. Most have them have done their doctorates. They explain the concept and course in-depth. They provide each student with personal teaching. The course curriculum is vast and relevant. Modules are informative and prepared by the professors themselves. Though there is a 100% pass percentage for semesters, there exists a comparative marking and hence securing above 80% is difficult.

The crowd and campus life are great, but the fee is high.

Faculty: The faculty members are some of the best in the country. I have always been proud of the level of classroom discussions and discourse, which have honed both my public speaking and critical thinking and helped me understand various subjects much better.

It provides good placements and an enriching college life.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful and highly qualified. The course curriculum is well-designed, and interesting electives are also offered. Students are prepared for internships and eventual employment through a series of curricular and co-curricular activities.

A great platform - WBNUJS.

Faculty: A number of courses are offered at WBNUJS. This can be seen from the increasing number of electives that are offered from the third year onwards. These electives are not restricted to pure law courses and are often interdisciplinary in nature. There is a certificate course wings which organize courses apart from the ones mentioned in the curriculum where various professors from other universities are invited. The faculty is average. While there are some great professors, overall the faculty need...

A mix of good and average facilities.

Faculty: 50 subjects (compulsory and elective courses) are taught during the five year tenure. Some electives are quite offbeat and therefore, very interesting, e. g. Biotechnology law, Sports Law or Outer Space Law. In my time, most faculty members were extremely knowledgeable and used an interactive approach in taking classes which kept the students alert and encouraged them to participate on a day to day basis. Several seminar courses were also introduced to give us ample exposure to the practical asp...

You can completely meet the expectations if you are in this university.

Faculty: The teachers are the best thing about the college. All are knowledgeable and professionals. You can approach them at any time and be certain that your query will be satisfied. There is an availability of electronic teaching mediums. The course curriculum covers substantial areas of law in Vogue.

This University is really great as it serves the most important function, imparting life skills.

Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The curriculum is designed to suit the needs of upcoming lawyers. There are some shortcomings as the faculty strength is not at par with other top notch NLUs but the quality is decent. We have digital classrooms and they are not just for the sake of it. They are used regularly and make learning a much better experience. Being a tier-1 NLU gives a lot of exposure to us and hence, we get a lot of 1st hand experience of things. Guest lectures are...

Most liberal law school in India.

Faculty: The faculty members were highly knowledgeable and helpful. Most of them are LSE, oxford, Cambridge alumni. Each subject teacher used to assign us a different project topic for our internal assessment. We also used to witness guest lectures at times. Each faculty member prepare their own course module. We had moot court and debate competition time to time.

NUJS has good course structure. But it lacks infrastructure, and some faculty can be improved.

Faculty: The teachers are competent in most of the courses providing extensive analysis on case law and helping understand the relevant statute in the legal classes. The level of discussion in most classes is usually quite satisfactory, and the teachers are always approachable later to students who have doubts or questions even after the class. The social science subjects are also more or less interesting, with the course curriculum designed well for subjects such as sociology making it interesting to pe...

NUJS is a great college for someone who has interest in law.

Faculty: The faculty of NUJS are one of the best among any of the law colleges all over India. There are various courses available in NUJS provided by the expertise in the specific fields of law. The course curriculum is designed in such a way that it inculcates interest in the students regarding their subjects.

The WBNUJS is one of the premier law schools in India. You have to qualify the CLAT to study in this

Faculty: The faculty is superb. From the beginning, this institute has produced best lawyers in India. It had a standard of course and implemented properly. In the initial years, subjects of arts are taught. In the final years, you study diversified subjects in law.

Happy to be a student from this college

Faculty: Teachers are well qualified, very helpful and co-operative student-faculty ratio per class 50:6, industrial exposure is there for project work, teachers used to give special care to the weak students after college, they used to take individual cares, several tests used to be conducted before the exams to make sure students secure good marks in the finals

Absolutely satisfied with the college.

Faculty: In NUJS, the faculty is mostly from top Indian law universities as well as International law universities. Most of them are highly-qualified, and many of them are following the modern methods like an open-book examination for the end semester. The faculty to student ratio is around 1:20.

One of the best law schools in the country.

Faculty: The faculty is good. Most of the professors here have secured their doctorate, and the assistant professors have a master's degree. The curriculum for the first two years has two BA subjects along with 3 law subjects. The end of the five years is a BA, LLB(Hons) degree.

For BA LLB, NLU Kolkata will be a better option than the Faculty of Law, Calcutta. This can be justified by seeing the rankings of the Institutes. NLU Kolkata is ranked #1 in West Bengal and # 5 out of 30 in India by NIRF. Faculty of Law, CU was ranked #2 in West Bengal and # 28 out of 39 in India b
