REVIEW ABOUT MY UNIVERSITY - PMIST.

Placements: I wish to improve our college campus placement section. Last month, Zoho visited our institute and selected 16 members from my senior batch. They offered jobs with a salary of 3 LPA as training IT engineers. Our university offers internships in many places such as RETECH SOLUTIONS LIMITED in Chennai, ARMADA INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION LIMITED in Thanjavur, and GR SOFTTECH in Trichy.

Infrastructure: Our institute offers Wi-Fi facilities and high-tech labs for students. The infrastructure in our university is also good and very eco-friendly. We have a hospital at the entrance of the university that works 24/7. The hostel is also well-maintained, and many students are staying there.

Faculty: There is no issue with teaching; the teachers are highly qualified. The faculty is very friendly with the students and encourages everyone to participate in extracurricular activities and work on projects. I wish to see some improvements in our course plan as we need to learn about current technologies. There is a 1.5-month gap between each examination in a semester. First, they conduct CIA 1; after the exam, they conduct CIA 2. After another 1.5 months, they conduct the semester examination. The marks from CIA 1 and CIA 2 are also considered for the semester result.

Other: I am an electronic and communication engineer, and I chose this course to do something better than others. I love studying this field, especially how it applies to real-life scenarios, such as using mobile phones, TVs, and electronic gadgets. They provide a scholarship of ₹20,000 under many categories, such as first graduate, single parent, sports quota, merit quota, and farmers. To qualify for this scholarship, students need to maintain 80% attendance and pass without any arrears.

Safety and Security: 24/7 Security. Round-the-clock security personnel and CCTV surveillance ensure the safety of students. Strict entry and exist protocols are in place to prevent unauthorized access. Emergency Services: Availability of first-aid facilities and quick access to medical assistance in case of emergencies.

Faculty: Comprehensive Curriculum: The B.Arch course covers a wide range of subjects from architectural design, history, and theory of construction technology, urban planning, and environment studies. It provides a solid foundation in both the technical and creative aspects of architecture. Practical Experience: Emphasis on hands-on learning through studio projects, workshops, and field trips. Real-world projects and internships are integral, helping to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. Faculty Expertise: Professors and instructors are experienced professionals with a deep understanding of the industry. A brief review of PMIST by a TOPPER.

Placements: In B.Sc., we are the first batch, so there are no placements yet. But on our campus, companies are coming, but don't expect good placement for them. In B.Sc. cyber security, we have 30 students there. Which is quite good, as per now, cyber security is a great course, I think.

Infrastructure: My course is great, but when it comes to the hostel, it's not that good, like I didn't like the food here. I am in the north of the college in Tamil Nadu, so it's a little bit of a problem for food. Yes, the hostel has Wi-Fi for laptop use. Classrooms are quite common, like everywhere.

Faculty: As per exams and all. In our college, there are no entrance exams; there are two exams named CIA 1, 2, which are considered 25% each in the semester exam. Teaching mostly in Tamil but they will teach you, no worries about it. The majority of the teaching is in Tamil, but don't worry, they'll translate for you. Semester exams are not difficult between the toppers.

Very satisfied about my college and friendly faculty members.

Placements: Approximately 80% of students secure placements annually, with the highest package reaching 50k and the average package at 40k. The top recruiting companies consistently include Larsen and Turbo, ensuring that all students find placement opportunities. As part of our course curriculum, an internship is mandatory during the 8th semester, guaranteeing that every student secures a position in a firm across various cities and states in India. Some of the roles offered include urban planner, landscaped architect, and chief architect.

Infrastructure: Complimentary Wi-Fi can be accessed throughout the campus. Within our department, we boast an air-conditioned CAD lab, multiple studios, lecture halls, clean restrooms, a climatology lab, a dedicated department library, a materials lab, and reliable water facilities. Our hostel offers well-prepared, hygienic meals, along with accommodation options of 4, 2, or 1 sharing rooms, each equipped with an attached bathroom. Additionally, residents have access to a gym and laundry facilities.
