Placements: All the students from our course passed with good marks, and it is due to the help of teachers. The highest salary package offered is 1.7 LPA. Many roles such as a chemistry scientist and lab workers were offered to students in our course. About 80% of the students get internships in many companies which are related to the branch of chemistry. They include perfume companies and many other super glue companies.
Placements: About 10% of the students from our course got placed. Out of a class of 21 students, about 12 students opted to pursue a PhD, while 3 students cracked the GSI exam conducted by UPSC. The average salary package offered is 7 LPA. The top recruiter for our course is Vedanta. About 3 students secured a PhD in foreign universities, and industrial training is mandatory in the master's course. Major companies which offer training include ONGC, Oil India Limited, Coal India, SAIL, Tata Steel, etc.
Placements: Honestly speaking there is no placements for BA/B.Sc Hons students. But in Statistics & Economics department there are placements cell. Although placement is not so good. But if you want to do higher studies then this is the best place for you. Many students from this college (university) pursuing their integrated Ph.D/ M.Sc. from institutes like TIFR, IITs, IISC, IISER etc.
Placements: There is no such company recruitment in our course. But definitely, there are placement opportunities in future for PhD graduates or being a lecturer at some college. Moreover, internship opportunities were at a huge level, and our teachers helped a lot.
Placements: Almost 4 to 5 students got placed through campus placements. Majority of students opted for higher studies. About 4 to 5 companies visited our campus for placements. Top recruiters of our college are banks. Roles like a business analyst or data analyst were offered to students by the companies. The highest salary package offered was 7 LPA. The average salary package offered was 4.5 LPA. Summer internships were provided in Indian Statistical Institution.
Placements: The placement committee invites a few companies to our campus, and notable they are Deloitte, D E Shaw. However, most of the students opt to pursue Masters, so only a few students attend placements. The college doesn't have an internship cell. Everyone who attends the placements got placed in their respective choices.
Placements: Students of science, mathematics and economics, social sciences and English departments are placed in well-established companies. Most years placement opportunities are high even though most opt for higher studies. English and social science departments also get opportunities in the HR department.
Placements: In 2018, many companies like Infosys, Mahindra, TCS, etc., visited our campus for placements. More than 70% of the students got placed in 2018. The average salary offered was Rs. 35,000 to 40,000 per month. A lot of students were offered the roles of clerk and accountant.
Placements: Placements is good as whoever wants a job gets placed. But mostly students go for post graduation and not opt for placements. Still the 10% batch who SAT for placements got placed. Roles offered varied from analyst to IT related roles as well. Deloitte and MU Sigma are some of the good companies which came for placements. Regarding internships, there is no as such compulsion to do an internship, however, one can always do something under college professors or get one from outside.
Placements: The placements were quite satisfactory. The average placements went around 4 Lacs. The highest placement was around 7-8 lacs. There is a placement cell in the college headed by a group of students which help the students to get placed. The companies which visited the campus were quite reputed ones.
Placements: Presidency University doesn't offer placements for all the courses and subjects. Mostly, on-campus placements are conducted for the economics and the statistics departments. Students from both these departments get placed in recognised companies like HSBC, HP, Ernst & Young, etc. There's a separate dedicated cell in Presidency University to look after placements and other related issues. The highest salary package offered is 13 LPA. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA. Students were most...
Placements: Placement and job opportunities in the college are quite available as numerous private sector companies hire many postgraduate students every year. There is a placement cell, and it was started by the college authority to look after the placement activities for the students.
Placements: Since it is a college that offers general courses, placement numbers are not like other engineering colleges. However, studying in this college definitely matters if one is interested in higher studies like M.Sc and PhD. Almost 90% of my batchmates have cleared JAM exam and are studying M.Sc. in IITs. The rest of the students continue pursuing their M.Sc in the same University.
Placements: Unfortunately, the college doesn't provide any good placements after graduation. Most of our seniors are doing M.Sc. or integrated PhD. I don't know there is any placement cell or not, but if there exists any placement cell, it is inactive. We apply for internships on our own.
Placements: Most of the students after completing their graduation in history honours opted for a master degree in the same university or outside Kolkata. Some students shifted to other courses. But placements are quite good at Presidency University. People are well placed now in different cities, and some are pursuing higher studies in different cities.
Placements: The University has an active placement cell and has been recruiting students since a long time. Companies like Cognizant come to the University. Companies recruiting teachers have also been recruiting recently. Out of 30 students, almost 20 are recruited. The stipend ranges between 20-30k per month. The University also has a wide range of internship opportunities. Summer interns are selected every year and sent to imminent Universities such as University of Groningen, with which Presidency also ...
Placements: After the completion of B.A programme, many students joined other universities for Masters degree, whereas others got into jobs in media houses, banks and schools. The sciences department provides the best placements in many MNCs as well as in reputed institutions. The social sciences have provided a plethora of eminent academics, civil servants, journalists etc.
Placements: Presidency University offers various choices of courses along with a huge variety of placement. Anyway colleges offer a good placement with reputed jobs. Most of my seniors are now in the government sectors. The highest salary offered by the companies is about 50K and the lowest is about 16.5K. Various types of companies visited the college during placement like News Channels, NGO's, etc. Roles were offered to the students according to their course. An internship percentage of about 80% students...
Placements: The students have the placements after completing their M.Sc, degree. The companies like HZL under Vedanta group have come every year for the placements, and nearly 5 to 6 students are placed from geology department. For other departments, some HR companies have come. There is a good placement cell, who works for the benefit of students.
Placements: The placement cell of the college (which is now converted to university) is not that great. College rarely arrange direct placement with commercial companies. Some of the departments directly contact various companies and I have seen top companies like Telco, Infosys, Reliance and Cognizant to do direct recruitment from the college.
