Review of PRIST University - Ponnaiyah Ramajayam Institute of Science and Technology.

Faculty: The faculty members are very friendly and clear all our doubts. Semester exams are not very tough, but you will pass. The pass percentage is 80-90%. They will provide good knowledge to us, and we can understand their lectures easily. The curriculum is good. Semester exams are easy if you study well.

There is a good infrastructure for education.

Faculty: Teachers here are good at their knowledge as they are capable of making their teaching understandable to students at a good level. They almost make students industry-ready, and all the students need to do is they should follow the instructions and teaching of the faculty members.

Not much satisfied. But satisfied with that college.

Faculty: All faculty teaching in the prist university are Ph.D. doctorate staffs. They teach very clearly with a passionable teaching. But there is no video classes in the classroom the student to faculty ratio is very good. Every year they give OD for industrial visits.

Friendly faculty members for Students.

Faculty: Faculty members are very friendly and kind, they can improve their communication skills so that every one can easily understand what they are saying! They all qualified and knowledgeable, we cannot experience any industrial exposures. Students can get basic knowledge about the papers.

There are poor placements and infrastructure.

Faculty: The faculty members help the students to understand the courses in an easy way. They conduct an industrial visit for the final year students in IT sector, its duration is 3 to 4 days. The teaching quality is average, they follow the traditional teaching method, and finally, we can get the basic information about the courses.

Dissatisfied because of normal teachers and some faculty.

Faculty: Few teachers are too helpful in any situation, at any time. Some teachers are not knowledgeable to teach students. They did not know how to teach and in which way to cover the students. They memorise it at home and orally told the same in class. The course curriculum was useful.

Wasted 4 years of my life in PRIST.

Faculty: We had very experienced good faculty members for the first year. The classes where regular, but all of the sudden a big tension occurred, when we entered the second year, we went to the college for a month without a single staff for the civil branch. We will reach the college by 9 AM. The routine work done by us for that one month was sleep, eat, movie, and returns home.

Fact about my college review by a last bench student.

Faculty: The only best thing in my college were teachers. They were helpful, well-qualified, and acquired great knowledge. They were teaching good but in an old method. For 69 students, we have a one male/female teacher. Once or twice a year we went for an industrial visit.

Worst college of my life and my career.

Faculty: The teachers are qualified and knowledgeable but were not helpful. Few teachers teach very well, but few teachers are poor in teaching. Many students were failed in mathematics subjects. The course curriculum is not useful, and we didn't get any industrial exposure.

Wastage of money, time, and talent.

Faculty: Only a few faculty members were good. Rest of them were just interns who were studying their M.Tech and teaching the B.Tech students. The student can't easily ask questions to the faculty. Girls and boys can't talk to each other in the classrooms. The teaching method was conventional. It was below to average. The faculty and student ratio varied from department to department. On an average, it was 1:60. The course curriculum was average and old. It was not very good.

Complete dissatisfied due to placement. They teach from the exam's prospective, not for knowledge.

Faculty: Faculty members are less qualified (B.Tech qualified faculty; almost all of them are pursuing M.Tech from the same college). But they are co-operative. The techniques used by them are bad. They only teach the questions which are important from the examination perspective. There are no extracurricular activities. In the college, you will be forced to attend the classes. The student-faculty ratio is good, I did not get any industry exposure from anywhere, nor any batchmate. As I mentioned earlier...

Good academic and good scope for practical. But the placement activities is not much better although some of students was selected in campus placement with minimum salary package. One more concern about this institution is it is very far from rest of North India. You will need 12 hrs traveling from Chennai.

For MBA course admission, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by the university. Aspiarnts should pass graduation from any recognised state/national board with 50% aggregate. The admission criteria for the course is a national-level entrance exam score, i.e., TANCET.
