Regretting my decision to take admission to Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh.

Placements: Earlier, the placement cell was good, but now, due to the ongoing recession and the college's low NIRF ranking, not many companies prefer to come. Those that do come do not offer a high package. For the civil branch this year, only two companies came, offering a package of 6-7 LPA. None of the students got internships in civil companies from the placement cell and had to go for off-campus opportunities. The top role offered was that of a graduate engineer trainee position.

Above average college, decent faculty, good placements, decent infra and facilities.

Placements: In 2023, almost 65 percent of the students in the Electrical Engineering branch were placed, which is far better than many NITs in that year. Top companies recruiting include Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, JP Morgan, and many more. The highest package in 2023 was around 60 lakhs for the CS branch.

Old infrastructure, decent study, and good placements.

Placements: For civil engineering, nearly 50% of students are placed through the college. The highest package is somewhere between 24 LPA, and the minimum package is 3-6 LPA. The top company is L & T, and there are many others too, which are good ones. The maximum internship package is 50k, and it's decent too.

My college is a very good college.

Placements: My percentile of JEE Main exam is 87. My college's highest package is 1.2 Cr. And my branch's highest package is 40 LPA, and the average package is 15 to 20 LPA, and the lowest package is 12 LPA. All companies are coming to my college. And higher the good placement.

The college is great if you lie in this rank range.

Placements: The placements in circuit branches are on par with many of the IITs and NITs; however, the non-circuit branches are another story altogether, with the exception of aeronautical engineering; the rest all are good but not great (but still much better than the rest of the competition at this rank range).

Pec Chandigarh: Deemed to be University.

Placements: 70% of students were placed last year. This year, placements are low due to the recession. Top recruiting companies include JP Morgan and American Express. Top roles offered are SDE, data analyst, CADP, and finance roles. Almost 50% of students received internship offers, and some even got PPOs.
