Review of Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh.

Placements: In the electrical course, placements are very less. Only a few companies visit the college for placements. Mainly software data analyst companies visit the college and students have to do a lot of hard work in that profile to get placed. Even after doing that much hard work, it is not sure that they will get placed as companies hire only 2-3 students.

Good Academics and Campus Life.

Placements: The Placement statistics of the college are quite good, since it has a good reputation. The placements and internships are majorly offered to circuit branches. The non-circuit branches face little issues during placement, but nonetheless, they also get placed. The top companies visiting the college are: Microsoft, JP Morgan, Amex, McKinsey, Brain, etc.

Pec Chandigarh: Deemed to be University.

Placements: 70% of students were placed last year. This year, placements are low due to the recession. Top recruiting companies include JP Morgan and American Express. Top roles offered are SDE, data analyst, CADP, and finance roles. Almost 50% of students received internship offers, and some even got PPOs.

Regretting my decision to take admission to Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh.

Placements: Earlier, the placement cell was good, but now, due to the ongoing recession and the college's low NIRF ranking, not many companies prefer to come. Those that do come do not offer a high package. For the civil branch this year, only two companies came, offering a package of 6-7 LPA. None of the students got internships in civil companies from the placement cell and had to go for off-campus opportunities. The top role offered was that of a graduate engineer trainee position.

Above average college, decent faculty, good placements, decent infra and facilities.

Placements: In 2023, almost 65 percent of the students in the Electrical Engineering branch were placed, which is far better than many NITs in that year. Top companies recruiting include Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, JP Morgan, and many more. The highest package in 2023 was around 60 lakhs for the CS branch.

College is quite good, but as the course is new, we don’t know much about the placement.

Placements: As this course is new, we can’t say much about placements, but the placement of other branches is pretty good. A lot of companies visit our college, like Microsoft, Amazon, etc.
