I recommend students to take admission in this university. The teachers here are very helpful.
Placements: In Punjabi University, at least 100+ students get placed every year in core companies. Major companies offered a package of 5 LPA. L&T, Shapurji Palonji, etc., companies recruit from here. Major roles offered are site engineer, design engineer etc. Students are offered high posts in companies.
Infrastructure: The university has very good infrastructure. Huge classrooms, digital labs, helpful staff, clean hostels, Wi-Fi and very good food, are available. I had stayed in Band Singh Bhadur hostel for 3.5 years. A dispensary, medicals facilities, big canteens and huge playgrounds are available.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful. Every teacher is recruited by conducting the NEET exam. They teach every subject with very ease. They are very supportive of students. Lab technicians are also very helpful. They know how to teach students. Teachers also teach beyond the syllabus.

I suggest you opt for a computer science course at this college.
Placements: None of the civil engineering companies visited our college for placements in 2016 and 2017. Opt for computer science engineering course because about 5-6 companies visit our college for placements. The salary packages offered here, which is mentioned on the college website, is almost fake.
Infrastructure: Below average quality of food is served to the students. Our college provides good labs and classrooms. Our college offers a good atmosphere. Wi-Fi facility speed is good. If students want a good lifestyle, then they can choose PG outside rather choosing a hostel. The library is great. There is a struggle when it comes to getting a hostel facility.
Faculty: Some teachers in our college were good at teaching. Other teachers are not good when we ask questions regarding structural engineering and steel structure design. They provide very less exposure to practical fieldwork. Teachers are very less cooperative.
Other: Campus crowd, fest and surroundings are good. The college certainly needs to improve its placement strategy so that at least a company should visit our college.

All things are good in university except for results they are very late.
Placements: For civil engineering, placements are very few in our college. Mostly companies visit our campus to recruit students from the computer science department. Only 14 students out of 50 students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3.6 LPA. The top role in our course is visiting a construction site.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is enabled in computer labs. Wi-Fi is enabled in the reading room and library. Classrooms are also with good infrastructure. Hostels are not that good, and the food is not bad, but washrooms are not that clean. All sports facilities are available here also the shooting 400-meter track and many more.
Faculty: Faculty members are good, and they are always ready to help students for any help related to study or any other problems. All the teachers are well-qualified. Teaching quality is also good but except some teachers. They use projectors to understand the topic clearly.
Other: Many co-curricular activities are conducted on this campus, and you will enjoy once you join this college.

I am absolutely dissatisfied because of placements in 2018.
Placements: Placements in our college were very poor. In the year 2018, only 1 company has visited the campus for placements, and that was Infosys. Not even a single core company visited the campus for placements of civil and mechanical engineering students. Apart from Infosys and the Indian Navy also visited the campus for recruitment.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our university is very good. The campus has a football ground, a running track and a cycling track. Every building is well maintained, especially classrooms and library. The campus also includes a proper market and 5-6 canteens that provide good hygienic food. Hostel rooms are very good with very low fees.
Faculty: Some of the teachers in the university were helpful, and some were not. Actually, there was a shortage of faculty in the civil branch. The quality of teaching of some teachers is very poor, and some teach very well. Projectors were used by some teachers to teach important concepts. The student to faculty ratio was nearly 20:1. We did not get any industry exposure. The course curriculum was not much helpful.
Other: Several events like Youth festival, charity event, sports events, technical events, etc., were organised in the university.

Don't expect placement opportunities from this college, but the campus life is enjoyable.
Placements: Placements are not good for our course. Our college has organised some placement drives, but none of them was much satisfactory. Some companies didn't reply to students after the recruitment process. I don't know if anyone got selected and offered any job profile.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. Our hostels are just average. However, there are no significant issues. Our labs are good and are working in condition. The lab staff are also cooperative. A dispensary is also available here and is available at free of cost for students.
Faculty: Some teachers are good while some are not that good. You should not depend on teachers for theoretical subjects. However, for numerical subjects, you can count on our teachers. Our teachers are sufficient enough. However, the course curriculum needs some amendments, and they should teach some basic software. Industrial exposure is comparable to none.

No, there's no other exam for taking admission in Punjabi University apart from JEE Mains. PU conducts Punjab B.Tech Admission through a centralised counselling process. This university does not conduct any entrance exam for admissions to the B.Tech programmes. Admissions are based on JEE Main score
