Q:   How effective is the placement cell for B.E. / B.Tech courses at SVBP University?

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.E./B.Tech Courses at SVBP University

Based on student reviews and testimonials, here's what we've gathered:

    * No dedicated placement cell for Biotechnology Department: Unfortunately, the university does not have a dedicated placement cell for the Biotechnology department, making it challenging for students to find employment opportunities.
    * Limited placement opportunities: While some students managed to secure internships, there is no guarantee of placements for B.E./B.Tech graduates from the university.
    * Students must take initiative: As mentioned by several students, finding a job requires individual effort, and the university doesn't provide direct assistance in this regard.
    * Some limited recruitment efforts: Although there isn't a dedicated placement cell, the university occasionally organizes fairs and events to connect students with potential employers, such as Mother Dairy, Amul, Parag, Nestle, and Reliance Fresh.

Overall, while the university may not prioritize placement services, students who are proactive and willing to put in extra effort may still manage to secure job opportunities. However, those seeking guaranteed placements may need to consider alternative options.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Agriculture University Meerut: Admission, Feels, Course.
Placements: College placements are good, with an average of 45% of students securing placements at around 2.5 LPA. It depends on your course, such as UG, PG, B.Sc., B.Tech., etc. B.Tech. students have the highest placement rates because many companies come for internships and placements. This year, companies like Amul Dairy, Banas Dairy, and Sugercen have visited.
Infrastructure: There are a total of 13 hostels on campus: 8 for boys and 5 for girls. The courses offered include UG programs like B.Sc. in Agriculture and Horticulture, as well as B.Tech. in Dairy Technology, Food Technology, Sugercen Technology, Biotechnology, and Agriculture Technology. PG courses include M.Sc. in all Agriculture and Horticulture subjects, and M.Tech. in Food Processing and Farm Machinery.
Faculty: The course curriculum depends on your degree program, as prescribed by ICAR. Exams are conducted each semester, with an average of 8 courses, including external, internal, practical, and Viva exams. Faculty members are categorized into department heads, associate professors, assistant professors, and a few guest faculty members. Attendance is mandatory for final exams, with a minimum of 75%.
Other: I am a B.Tech. Dairy Technology student, and my batch has a strength of 25. My department is part of the College of Post Harvest & Food Processing.

Happily enjoying my college life at SVPUAT .
Placements: You can go for research, you can become scientists, you can get Ph.D. scholarships, you can apply for marketing jobs and, as biotech is a vast field, you can also apply to companies like Biocon, Johnson & Johnson, and pharmaceutical companies. After this course, you can also go for an MBA.
Infrastructure: Hostels are good, clean, have RO water, and the food quality is also satisfactory. Electricity availability is 24 hours a day. Gym facilities are available separately for boys and girls. There are a total 4 girls hostels. There are different hostels for UG and PG students, so it goes for boys, although they have more hostels .
Faculty: The difficulty level is moderate; you need to pass 50 percent of your semester exams. Well-taught professors are there at the institute, and the university provides internships in the 4th year. Yes, industrial internships are also available; it depends completely on the individual and their interests.
Other: I always wanted to go for government college and I am a pcb student so this was the best option for me other than NEET, B.Tech. in biotechnology (engineer in field of biology)

If you only want a degree, you are welcome at the college.
Placements: Negligible placements are here in the biotechnology college. But the college of agriculture provides placements for a few of the students. A teacher in biotechnology tells about placements of cells to be performed for the benefit of students, but I haven't seen anyone serious about that.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good, but with average resources. Like only one water resource or RO filter in the whole college for students, washrooms are also not in good condition, and the sitting benches and chairs are already broken and old. Smart class is only for the name; once a month we visit there.
Faculty: Some teachers are really good at their duty of educating students, not only on the syllabus but also on other things that would be beneficial for student life. Concepts and doubts are cleared by some, but in most cases, the teacher says to study the best foreign author book for our doubts and understanding.
Other: There are about 85 students in my batch. But due to boring lectures or time passed by the teacher, they do not attend classes. The short attendance is a reason for many of the students. But students are friendly and helpful to each other in their studies and other things.

It is the best college in this university.
Placements: Less placements were provided in our college in the past years, but now, the placement cell is active and working properly. It is because our new vice chancellor Dr. KK is very strict and takes action in a disciplined way. The recruiting companies are Dabar, Daurala Mill, and Haldaur Sugar.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is the best and most impressive with much greenery, especially in the horticulture research center and administrative section. The infrastructure of the central library is very good with an attractive fountain in front of the gate.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are very helpful, especially our dean Dr. Ravindra Kumar and an assistant professor DR Admit Baliyan. All of them are well-educated from certified universities and joined this college by qualifying for the government PG exams. Students pass the exams if they study regularly for 2 hours.
