Our college has good infrastructure, facilities, and faculty members.
Placements: Medical colleges do not have placements like engineering colleges. We learn and practice. Our colleges make us capable to do work in the field. Students easily get jobs as government veterinary officers. They can work in zoos and food security departments. They also work in the private sector as well like dairy, poultry, and food industry.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. It has a central library and a large sports stadium. Each room is allotted to 2 students. Each room has an attached bathroom. The quality of the food in the mess is good. The food is hygienic. The hostel gives us a homely environment. We have full freedom. Wardens also come at regular intervals. They are very friendly. The college owns a poultry farm, a cattle farm, a sheep farm, and ILFC.
Faculty: Faculty members have good knowledge and the best experience. Many faculty members are from IVRI, Bombay Veterinary College, and Jammu. They are well qualified. They teach theory and practical concepts. It is very hectic during exams. There are 3 internal exams and one external exam every year.

The college has fantastic faculty members and well-equipped labs.
Placements: I am pursuing B.V.Sc and AH course in the batch of 2019-2024. Almost 80% of the students of the pass out batch got placed this year. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 6 LPA and the average salary package offered is 8 LPA. None of the companies visited our campus for recruitment. Internships are mandatory in this degree, and all students got internships in private veterinary hospitals and clinics. Top roles offered are veterinary officers, animal nutritionists, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college is well-equipped with various labs for anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, etc. There are at least 20 lecture halls, and some of them have air-conditioners. Labs are well-equipped with machines such as autoclaves, PCRs, centrifuges, boilers, etc. The university has the largest central library of western Uttar Pradesh. Hostels are hygienic and well-maintained. Water coolers, water purifiers and geysers and fire extinguisher are installed and maintained. Wardens are appointed for the hostel administration. Mess and canteen serve healthy food which is economical. Every hostel has a badminton court and sports room. The university has a stadium for athletic events, and badminton, table tennis courts, football fields and basketball courts are also available here. The university has its own well-equipped gymnasium.
Faculty: All the teachers are well-qualified, helpful and knowledgeable. All teachers have at least pursued PhDs. Few of them are even gold medalists in their fields. The course curriculum is similar to MBBS and is well-designed. It surely makes students industry-ready. It is designed to make students grasp the maximum knowledge out of this course.
Other: I have chosen this course because I always wanted to be a veterinarian. The best thing about this course is its generalist approach towards various species such as dogs, cats, horses and goats, and it gets deeper and wider as you study further. The veterinary polyclinic of the college has fewer number of beds than required, so it can be improved. The college has various societies for cultural and extracurricular activities, and these activities take place throughout the year. Scholarships are provided to students with weak economic background. Campus crowd is decent and dignified. The university is not far away from the main Meerut City, so the connectivity is great. Surroundings are lush green and clean.

My life at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of agriculture and technology Meerut.
Placements: The placement is not offered by the university. You have to work in private or government sectors. In the private sector, you have to work in private hospitals, slaughterhouses, NGOs, etc., where you can earn an average salary of 6 lacs per annum easily. Most of the students after there UG further continue their studies to get a higher education.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for BVSC and AH are that you get a smart classroom, a college library, and a central library that are fully A.C. with Wi-Fi available. The rooms are well developed with proper ventilation, and a bed is provided for each student. The mess quality is average, and the menu is simple, like no Chinese or South Indian dishes are prepared by the mess owner. If you want to rent a room or PG, then you have to search outside the campus. A friend of mine rented a room, which cost around 3500/month excluding electricity.
Faculty: The faculty are so experienced, and we'll be educated from different top institutes. Some teachers are AIR-1 in ICAR-JRF. The teachers have both theory and field knowledge about the disease, diagnosis, and treatment. The exams are held in December, then in March and then in June, and then the last annual exam is held in July and August. The teaching quality is good as compared to other colleges like NDUAT Ayodhya. I think I feel no improvement in the course curriculum and teaching methods because the teachers are doing their duty very well. They are very helpful to students.
Other: The annual and technical festival is held on 2nd October every year, in which the dinner is not included. The library is the best infrastructure building of the campus, which is covered with tiles and the library is fully A. C. In the nighttime, the library looks so beautiful. There is more availability of books and varieties of books.

Pursuing BVSC and AH to become a respectable Doctor.
Placements: The placements don’t occur because mostly veterinary students work in the government sectors, slaughter houses and private hospitals where placements are not required. There are 74 students in each batch. After 4.5 years of studying, there is a programme of internship for the last remaining 1 year where the students give their services to the government, farms and villages through camps.
Infrastructure: The Infrastructure of the campus is surrounded by greenery, plants and trees. The classrooms are smart classes with Wi-Fi connection. The library is huge having Wi-Fi and AC available, it is cleaned regularly. The hostel has 2 seater rooms with the availability of a cupboard, a table and a chair for each student along with 24 hours of electricity and water availability. A canteen is situated in the center of the campus. There is a hospital for the students and faculty members. There is a big sports ground where the annual sports events are held.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and experienced and they have studied from top ranked institutes such as IVRI Bareilly, Veterinary College Pant Nagar, Bombay Veterinary College, etc. The course consists of a duration of 5.5 years. The exams are held having 3 internal exams and 1 annual exam along with a practical exam in a year. The passing percentage is 50%.
Other: This course gives you a right to treat the animals and makes you a respectable Doctor having a huge scope in serving the society. The scholarships facility is available for the weak economic background students provided by the state and central government. The sports event occur once a year. There is no fest or events occurring in the campus.
