SASTRA University is in Thanjavur. Though the campus is located far away from the city, in-house facilities like medical shop, availability of doctor, basic hospital amenities are provided by the management. The infrastructure facilities are in par with the international standards. Every department has separate computer labs and other specialization labs like biochemistry lab, circuit lab, mechanical workshop etc. Also, recently a 4 floor sophisticated Research centre has been built only to carr...
This college is excellent as per study atmosphere and quality of education. There is a good research scope. Lots of seminars, both national and international provide a platform for knowledge transfer. Extracurricular activities like sports, science fest etc. are highly acclaimed. College has great infrastructure. Students here are friendly. Faculty members are the pillar of success.
Sastra University is one of the best college in south India. Great college and good aesthetic presence with wide options to explore. Pros: 1.Excellent placements in all streams. 2. Good infrastructure and excellent laboratory facilities 3. proficient faculty. 4. Encourages co-curricular and extracurricular activities. Cons: 1.Hostel facilities are ordinary. 2. Food quality is bad 3.Not friendly management 4.Strict rules and regulations which don't help the students in any manner whatso...
The first instance that you will notice about this college is the discipline and the college is trying to instill. For successful academic rigor, emphasis has to be on quality curriculum. The School of Mechanical Engineering (SOME) had the quality of teaching and it could nevertheless be improved. Although a couple of teachers are truly life changing. The non-academic discipline does curtail the sense of freedom, but not significantly. The peer group that comes to this college is excellent, a...
It has good infrastructure and lab facilities. Mainly famous for Bio related branches. Highly qualified lecturers and good environment to study. I heard about this college through my friends and I had applied it with my 12th class marks. Unfortunately I didn't get the desired branch but I was lucky enough to get into Biotechnology with my score. I was surprised that the demand and competition this college has. Also the fee structure was comparatively low when we look at other colleges. It has th...
I studied ECE. This departments is considered as the strictest one of all the B.Tech departments. My college is good for mechanical and Electrical students. They get good placements in core companies. Other branches do get core companies but less. At the end, almost everyone will be placed. Lab equipment’s are good. Few faculty are good and few are average. Campus facilities were increasing year by year. When I joined it had only open playground. End of first year basketball court came, end of s...
Pros: 1.Placements 2.Faculty 3.Research Cons: 1.Less industrial exposure. 2. Rules and regulations if you are looking for a college that respects your merit not the fees then SASTRA is the best choice. It gives you good all-round development as an individual. But the rules of the college are a bit strict, you need to get habitual of.
It is a University where our culture and rich heritage taught to students along with education. It is just similar to a temple, once you entered there you will get calm and feel confident. Not only they are training students only with education they are also encouraging other skills of the students and the faculties are not just like faculty who taught for wages they are like our parents to whom we can feel free to discuss our problems and yes sure you get the solution. They are also giving much...
College with good infrastructure, faculty and placements. They call sufficient number of companies each year and give opportunity for every student to get placed. Apart from that they even send candidates for semester abroad program which is good. The only con about the college is there are some faculty who knew nothing and show off like he knew everything and the silly questions they ask when they sit for project reviews makes us feel awkward.
One of the best colleges in Tamil Nadu. College provides good infrastructure, well designed syllabus, wonderful faculty members and hundred percent placements to the students. The admission procedures are very transparent and very good score is needed to get the admission.
It is student friendly, has international standard infrastructure, and the campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The fees is 45,000 INR per semester, it is the best in mechanical engineering, world class research facilities, guaranteed jobs with lots of opportunities for core placements like Hyundai, Mahindra, Ford, Ashok Leyland, Titan Breaks India ltd. etc.
The best infrastructure one can get. Placements are very good. The one part that I like the most is, no recommendation and no donations are required. Excellent hostel facility. Got an opportunity to become friends with wonderful students of our country. Interactive classes and practical sessions. Encouraging faculty members.
Final destination for best education and career growth. It depends on the students, how much they gain from college. If they struggle hard in learning new things, college and faculty will support and help. Semester abroad program helps you gain a lot of knowledge about foreign universities. Placements are assured for every student, the basic requirement being good communication skills. Placements are consistently increasing every year.
Flexibility - which you can go and come at any time. Learning become easy by having internal system. Faculties mostly are doctorates and at least M.Tech professionals. Can enjoy the college life completely. 99 percent placement. Bad one Having 50marks internal, if you got 45 marks in internal, you just need to get 10 marks for pass, so students would study just one unit to get 10 marks to pass, so the in depth knowledge to the students particular subject is lacking, they would suffer in future. ...
SASTRA is good for its infrastructure and Research is an important criteria for their success. It's worth the money at SASTRA. I enjoyed thoroughly with all the curriculum and extracurricular activities that I participated during my graduation period.
A very good college for Mechanical engineering along with biotechnology. A lush green campus with great faculty and infrastructure. The college has good quality of student intake and hence a good quality of interaction within the class. The campus placements are also good with all the major companies visiting the campus with various hardcore engineering roles. The IT companies are the major recruiters.
It is a wonderful place to learn having updated content as syllabus. Stand unique among the crowd in terms of excellence. Campus facilities need to be improved. Encourage the unique talent. Some faculty members are really outstanding. Cultural activities are not encouraged.
My college is one of the reputed college with high job opportunities for students. When we get into campus we feel free and enthusiastic. There are a lot of things to learn there. Labs and practical classes are very good. Library is very excellent. Equal opportunities to sports, health and studies. Very good place to build our career.
This is a good college. The professors over there are nice, not the best but are okay. You can get the knowledge. But the thing is that over there you won’t get any practical knowledge. The placements are mostly from IT companies. Jobs related to other fields are less. Coming to food I can say that the food will be nice. Hostel facilities are okay. Cannot expect any more from private universities that too a huge university. It has a huge campus with Wi-Fi facility and greenery.
