Rule are very strict but you must know or find your ways to enjoy. 2 days off in a week and that a good thing. Regarding academics it’s just perfect and depends on you how you learn and develop yourself. Scope of Campus Placements is 95% for every batch. If you are able to maintain 70% by your final year, SASTRA will find you a job somehow.

SASTRA University has an atmosphere which motivates a student towards study as well as co-curricular activities. It has many live research projects and lot of patents. It also ranks among the top most universities in India with its lab facilities such as NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) which is of rare existence. The most admirable part of the university is there were no donation seats, the seats will be allotted only on the basis of merit which is encouraging for intelligent student. Last but...

Good college for people, who really want to learn and achieve their target and goals. Very much supportive if you really want to do something extra. Hundreds on R&D projects are going on (from DRDO, DST, and ISRO etc.). It has nice infrastructure, cheap fees (both tuition and hostel). Placements are above average, as the intake is very high. We can see companies like Microsoft, Cypress Semiconductor, KLA Tencor, HP, Nokia, Titan, Aricent, Google, and Facebook in campus.

When I joined SASTRA back in 2007, it was not a case of asking questions on the ROI. I had managed to fall short of the cutoffs for IIT and had a disastrous AIEEE and BITSAT. My board marks were good enough to get me an admit and at that time I had become quite desperate as I did not fancy going to Hyderabad or Kota to waste one more year solving problems from HC Verma, ML Khanna or Boyd. Hence SASTRA!! Looking back now (it’s been four years since I graduated) I hope I can shed light on some of...

College will take extra care of freshers. There's no need to worry about ragging (not a chance). It's very strict in every aspect like attendance, roll call (in hostel), health (my college does not even allow soft drinks because they are not good for health). Inside the campus non-veg is not allowed. Placements are very good; no need to worry. Coming to studies, it will not depend on the college but it will be students' responsibility and the only responsibility they have. Don't vacate the h...

A well-disciplined college and admission is purely on merit basis. The college fees is considered to be highly reasonable on comparing with other colleges. I must say that the placement for the computer science department is extremely superb. Every student in the department will get a job at the end of his college life but for departments other than computer science, not all will get a job in their respective core companies. A highly secured college for girls.
