Kind of dissatisfied, mainly due the poor placements for the batch 2014, decent faculty and infra.

Placements: The placements for our batch as well as our senior batch were below average. Almost 50% students of the senior batch and less than 50% of the senior batch were placed. The average package was around 3 Lacs pa. Our college was visited by companies like TCS, LnT Infotech, Orange, etc. There were no internships from college. Yes, there is a placement cell but it was not very efficient.

Great College with Great Surroundings.

Placements: Placements is not the strong point of the college currently. There are lots of companies but the package is not good. 3.2 LPA is what most of the companies will provide, although some provide more. Also, there is a placement cell where they train students for placements. Internship are encouraged in the college. All the teachers encourage students to go for internships out of the state in summer vacation and especially for 4th year students.

An awesome college I got in my life.

Placements: I got placement in Maruti Suzuki. They are giving me 3.4 LPA. Every student got placement in my college. Every student feels proud. They give full support to get the placement in Maruti Suzuki. My friends also got good companies from my college. Every faculty help to get a job in the best companies.

The college has good infrastructure and has a pleasant atmosphere for study.

Placements: Mostly 80% of the students got placed in the placements, and in our senior batch, there were 70% placements. The highest package was of ICICI Bank that includes 4.25 LPA, and the least was of HDFC Bank LTD that include 2.12 LPA. 100 % of the students have got the internship, and out of which, 40% of the students got the stipend.

Apart from infrastructure, everything is disappointing.

Placements: When it comes to placements, it is not that exciting. Major recruitment is through Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). Other than that company like Wipro, Coca-Cola, Orange and some other also visit, but doesn't recruit much. The highest package here is also not something to brag about, and it is somewhere between 3.5LPA to 4.0LPA. This is the highest as well as the average package you can get here. So if you come here thinking about placement prepare yourself to get disappointed.

We have a peaceful environment for personal growth.

Placements: The placements provided were decent. In my class of 90 students, 8/10 girls and 55/80 boys were placed. Other unplaced students had some flaws in their 10th and 12th marks criteria, dob, etc. The companies that visited were Orange, TCS and L&T. The package offered was around Rs. 3.2 LPA to Rs. 4 LPA. The package has increased for 2017 batch. I got the internship from my initiative at IIT-Kanpur. Many students had to work for their internship. The college provided the opportunity, but they were ...

SMVDU campus - a pioneer for the higher education.

Placements: The college campus placement is neither too bad nor good. A few IT giants like TCS and Wipro visit the campus and recruit the students. SMVDU is also a placement hub for Jammu and Kashmir's colleges. Other companies like Orange and TechAspect visit the campus for the placement. But, if you were not placed on the campus, then you can get a job easily as the quality of the education is good. Many students have secured good ranks in PSU and GATE.

SMVDU has the great infrastructure, and the quality of the education is good.

Placements: There are no placements in SMVDU for B.Arch course. However, my B.Tech batchmates were placed in TCS, Nestle among the other MNC. No internships are offered from the college. The students gather for their internships. In B.Arch, a 6-month internship is mandatory in the 5-year course, but the college doesn't help with this, and the students acquire their internships.

I am fully satisfied with our college infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: In my college, we have the same legacy that more than 90% of the students are placed every year for ECE stream. The average salary offered is 3.25 LPA. TCS, Wipro, L&T Infotech, HCL and other companies visit my college campus every year. Assistant system engineer, project engineer are roles provided by these companies. 95% of the students got the internship from the college.

The best institute and proud to be a graduate of SMVDU.

Placements: If you are interested in pursuing higher education in the field of biotechnology or life sciences, then you should join the B.Tech/M.SC Biotechnology course offered by SMVDU. It provides enough facility and opportunity in the said field. Although, the campus placement of biotechnology department is not that good. However, other departments of the campus provide placements in the leading and emerging companies like Wipro, Samsung electronics, WaterHealth ltd., and many more.

I can say that if the faculty is renewed, there is a possibility to compete with IITs

Placements: Since it is a new university and has not had that much of history and technical experience, many companies find it a little too early for a tie-up with this university but still, companies like Adobe, Xilinx, TIS and many more are coming for placements. About 75% of my seniors got placed and are getting an average salary of about 50 to 60 thousand rupees. The highest offer was 75000 and the lowest offer was 30000.

Satisfactory experience with the way architecture department works here in SMVDU.

Placements: Architecture, unlike other streams, does not have a placement scheme. The students make their design portfolios which they send to different design firms all over the world and according to their designing skills, they're given jobs. Other than that, since students wanted a special placement cell for architecture also, it is being made in which companies like Autodesk may come and hire students to teach software, etc. for people who want money more than they want to design.

Satisfied. Placement is average but faculty, infrastructure alumni, climate, and campus are awesome.

Placements: The placement is good but the package is not very good. It's around 4.5 lacs per annum. Although, the highest package is around 14 lacs per annum. Moreover, recently it has been updated, so the average package might go up to about 7.5 lacs per annum. The off-campus placement is fantastic. Our alumni in MIT are in Microsoft, Apple, Facebook, etc.

Amazing infrastructure, nice crowd, and the best seniors.

Placements: The average package went for around 3.7 LPA until the last year offered by the mass recruiter, Wipro. From this year, since the college has been upgraded to rank B by TCS, hopefully, from this year the average package can be expected to be around 4.5 LPA. Other recruitment companies which also visit are Orange, Tech Aspect, etc.

Awesome infrastructure and climate

Placements: The placements are good. The highest package offered is around 5 lacs, and the university offers almost 90% placements to ECE and CSE students. Although not very big companies take part in the campus selection process, companies like Airtel, Wipro and TCS usually visit the university for campus selections. Students often get positions such as software engineer (CSE).

The infrastructure is really good but the faculty are not up the mark.

Placements: We do not get placements through the college. Students used to apply on their own for getting a job or internship. The stipend which a student gets during the internship period is between 2000 to 10000. After completing the degree, the average salary which is offered is around 20000.

SMVDU B.Arch (5-year) review.

Placements: Excellent. Placement depends on the portfolio. It depends on the work of students and designing they do during their semester. On that basis, their portfolio is built. Presently, students from architecture are doing their internships abroad and also in good architecture firms of India.

SMVDU- A journey into the life of students

Placements: The placements were around 85-90%. The major recruiters were TCS, L&T Infotech and Orange. The packages offered were reasonable and decent. The offer letters were received on time and joining was done hassle-free. The placement procedures were well-explained to the students by the placement department.

The infrastruture is awesome.

Placements: Maximum students apply out of the campus because the companies' salary is not good. It is about 4 to 5 lakh per year only. TCs, Wipro, Indian Navy and some small companies also visited here. The percentage of students that got internships from the college is 60%. The highest stipend is 10 lakh, average 4 lakh and the lowest is 3.1.

A good college in terms of college life and infrastructure but average in terms of placement and fee

Placements: The placements are miserable in the mechanical department. There are companies offering placements for computers and the electronics departments, but we do not get any core company for the mechanical department. There are companies like Wipro or TCS offering placements to mechanical also but these cannot be considered as good placements. Currently, there is only one company that offered placement in the mechanical department offering a package of 15000 per month in Delhi-NCR. 5 students are plac...
