Commonly asked questions
On Admissions

Q:   Does SHUATS have good placements?

A:

SHUATS placements may vary depending on the specific programme you're considering for placements. Here's a breakdown:

SHUATS has a Directorate of Career Planning and Counseling (DCPC) that actively works with students on career development and placement opportunities. They organize workshops, mock interviews, and career counseling sessions to help students prepare for the job market.

Some sources report that around 75% of students get placed through on-campus placements. This can vary depending on the program, with some like Food Technology, Dairy Technology, and Agriculture having better placement rates than others.

Well-known companies like Nestle, ITC, and Parle Agro have been known to recruit from SHUATS.

Q:   What is the average package offered at SHUATS?

A:

However, based on my research from multiple sources, the average package offered at SHUATS generally falls within the range of 3.5 LPA to 4.5 LPA. This means that on average, SHUATS graduates can expect to receive an annual salary in this range upon placement.

Here are some specific examples of average package estimates I found:

  1. Shiksha: They report an average package of 3.5 LPA for B.Tech graduates at SHUATS.
  2. Their estimate for the average package is also around 3.5 LPA.
  3. Student reviews: While student reviews offer anecdotal evidence, some mention achieving packages as high as 6 LPA, while others report receiving average offers of around 3 LPA.

Remember, these are just averages, and individual experiences may vary depending on the factors mentioned earlier. It's important to research the specific programme you're interested in and consider other factors like internships and skill development to get a more complete picture of your potential career trajectory after graduating from SHUATS.

It has a good campus life and a well-equipped library.
Placements: Not many students got placed in the last three years. About 30-40% of the total students got placed with an average salary package of 5 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 6.5 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. The top recruiting companies for my course are Parle, Bveg, Amul, Mother Dairy, etc. About 75% of students in my course got internships in top food companies like Haldirams, Bikano, Britannia, Patanjali Foods, etc. The top roles offered are quality assistant, quality executive, production manager, and production executive.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are well-equipped with all the amenities. The infrastructure is also good and well-maintained. The department has its own library with journals, books, and research papers. The department has Wi-Fi facilities. There are labs for conducting the practicals, and it has all the required equipment. The university has 7 girls hostels and 5 boys hostels. Every hostel has over more than 50 rooms. The hostel mess provides three meals and evening snacks.
Faculty: Faculty members of the university are helpful and qualified. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant, and it covers all the important subjects that we require in the industry. The semester exam's difficulty level ranges from moderate to difficult. The pass percentage is about 33%.

The college is very famous, basically for agriculture, and has been working for the last 130 years.
Placements: The average package offered in our course is around 500000 pa. The top companies recruiting for the course are Mahindra, Tata, Swaraj Mazda, and many more. The students who got internships from our course are from Tata, NTPC, BSP, Mahindra, and industrial training.
Infrastructure: The facilities are very good and our infrastructure is from the Britishers' time. They provide us free Wi-Fi in every classroom, department, hostel, and in libraries as well. The quality of food is good, and medical facilities are available with a hospital in our college.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are very helpful by nature well-qualified, knowledgeable, and have very good teaching qualities. The semester exams in our college are easy for all, and proper guidance is provided by the teachers. The passing percentage is 6 SGPA and CGPA.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest. The best thing about my course is the proper workshop training area and the machines provided by our college.

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) - Batch of 2022

Faculty is good but placement is very poor.
Placements: I completed BBA in 2022. In the last year, few companies came like BYJU'S, JIO, and a few local companies situated in Prayagraj. Mostly offered sales jobs with an average package of 3.5 lakhs. In my class, out of 60, only 6 got placed. Internships are not provided by the college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not good except for the Engineering and Bio Tech departments. Classrooms feel like we are studying in a local government college. Every department has its own library and computer lab. Wi-Fi is available only in some departments. The university has both girls' and boys' hostels, which are decent in terms of facilities, and the quality of food is average. Sports facilities are good; a cricket ground, volleyball court, badminton court, and gym are available.
Faculty: Faculty is well qualified and has good experience in teaching. The curriculum is updated as per the trend. The department also conducts industrial visits, case studies, seminars, and guest lectures to help students understand the current market trends. Exams are conducted from time to time, which are easy to moderate.
Other: Overall, it is a good college, but it is not worth the fees they are charging. Also, facilities and infrastructure are not good compared to other colleges that charge similar fees. The college should focus more on practical knowledge.

B.Tech. in Biotechnology - Batch of 2026
2.4

Absolutely Dissatisfied and Disappointed.
Placements: We are currently studying, and there are 13 students in total in my batch doing B.Tech in Biotechnology. We haven't passed, but I've heard from seniors that there are very few placements from this university, and also most of them have left for other colleges for the same reason.
Infrastructure: They have a lot of land but are not providing facilities. Our department is comparatively better than others, but still, it's only satisfactory when you compare it with other departments. They just cut the connection for AC even in summer, and in most cases, there are even classes where you won't get an AC. The condition of the toilets is bad, and the water tanks also seem unhygienic. There are a lot of benches that are broken, and cleaning is also not proper. They have a Wi-Fi connection, but students don't have any benefits because we don't have access to it.
Faculty: Semester exams are okay. The teachers are helpful, but there is a lot of partiality on the basis of religion, mostly. There are teachers who are not teaching regularly, even though they come to the university. It's based on their mood. Favoritism is also present in the university, and students have to work really hard.

Really good infrastructure and facilities provided by college.
Placements: There are 50 students enrolled in our first semester. The top roles are like forensic officer, lab assistant, and lab head in a forensic science laboratory. The placements are vast, like Delhi, Bangalore, etc. Also, you can get a job in the college after completing your Masters.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are so good. The classrooms are clean, and the subjects taught by the professors are easy to understand due to their specific teaching methods. The hostel is good; there are three messes, and all mess food quality is good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and well-qualified. They teach so nicely that they make difficult topics easy to understand. The semester exams are quite hard, but if you focused in class when the professor is teaching, then you can clear the exam without any problem.
Other: The reason I have chosen this course is that it has a very good scope, and it is usually not well-known. There are many things which the college can improve and make better about our course, like the practicals and the laboratory. They need to be more specified. The events are just fabulous. The activities, scholarships, campus crowd, and campus surroundings are so good.

SHUATS is an okay place for agriculture and dairy related courses.
Placements: There are very few students that get placed through campus. In dairy and agriculture courses, the success rate is a bit high, but other than that, colleges are not giving placements. Most of the students get jobs through their own link, or offline placements help them secure the jobs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for the aesthetic pov is great. Labs and fields are maintained in a very decent way. The on-campus experience is quite good, but out of campus, the area is not as well developed as we look or desire. Overall average rating is best preferred for the infrastructure.
Faculty: Teachers are mostly helpful, well-learned, and versed in their respected fields. Exams are also conducted smoothly every year. Marking is also pretty lenient. All in all, professors and assistant professors are a plus for the reputation and working of the college.
