Q:   Can I get Sikkim University, MBA with 88% in CUET-PG?

    A:

While it's impossible to definitively say whether you can get into Sikkim University's MBA programme with an 88% in CUET-PG, it's certainly a very good score that puts you in a strong position for admission. However, several factors influence the final decision:

    1. Cut-off:

Unfortunately, Sikkim University hasn't released the official cut-off scores for the 2024 session yet. These scores depend on various factors like the total number of applicants, programme capacity, and difficulty level of the entrance exam.

While we don't have the confirmed cut-off for this year, looking at previous years can give you some idea. In 2023, the cut-off for MBA at Sikkim University ranged from 29 - 32.01% depending on the category. With an 88%, you significantly exceed that range.

    2. Overall Selection Process:

While the CUET-PG score holds substantial weightage, it's not the sole factor. Your performance in the Group Discussion (20%) and Personal Interview (10%) also plays a role. Strong performance in these rounds can further strengthen your application.

    3. Other Applicants:

The competition for admission depends on the pool of other applicants and their scores. Even with a high score, there's no guarantee if you'll secure a seat, especially if the competition is fierce.

Therefore, your 88% in CUET-PG puts you in an excellent position for admission.

Stay updated for the official cut-off announcement by regularly checking the Sikkim University website.

Prepare well for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview as they contribute significantly to your final selection.

Faculty members are good, but the campus life is not that good.
Placements: The placements of DPG Degree College are very good. Almost 100% of the students got placed in reputed companies. The highest salary package offered was around 4 LPA for graduate students, which is not very good. The lowest salary offered was around Rs. 10,000 per month.
Infrastructure: DPG Degree College is fully air-conditioned, and it has all the relevant or required facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, and classrooms. It has a very big library with all the useful books in sufficient quantity. Our canteen food is not good, and there are no eating places nearby the college.
Faculty: The course curriculum is good. Teachers in the college are good, helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. They teach using modern techniques. The industry exposure is very less. The course curriculum is useful and similar to that of Maharishi Dayanand University.

For me this college is best.
Placements: Actually I am a Retail Management student pursuing a Bachelor of Vocational Degree at Government Vocational College Dentam, West Sikkim. In our college, there is no placements facilities but we can get a chance for internships and training in a course.
Infrastructure: New Vocational College is still under construction so, have to little suffer for library and labs but classrooms are good. There is Ambulance for emergency case, some space for sports. There are some canteens near college having good quality of food.
Faculty: Our college very good in terms of education. Teachers are well qualified There teaching quality is very good. It is Skill based College granted by UGC. Semester exams are not so difficult. Pass percentage is similar to every college -33% but for skills exam it is 45%. .
Other: I choose this course because I always wanted to do skills based course, and this is the best because it has the papers for every field from Accounting, Business, Mathematics, basic IT, Environment Studies, to Communication English it will make us ready in every field, with theoretical knowledge as well as practical experience. There is limited numbers of students, not much noise, celebrates grand Fest and other events like Freshers Day, Farewell, Teachers Day. There is good electricity connectivity and nice college environment. No scholarships through college.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty and good infrastructure.
Placements: 100% students will get internships. 70% students get placements with the highest package being 2 lacs and the lowest being 50k. After covid 19 pandemic, the University provides less number of placements but it is working very hard to get it’s placements system back.
Infrastructure: With good Wi-Fi connectivity, fully digital classes are available. The library is good having every book available. Hostel facilities are provided for both boys and girls. There is unity in diversity. The campus is ragging free. Every festival is celebrated by the students association.
Faculty: The teaching quality is up to the mark with fully digital classes. The college had a sustainable environment for every student. There is no difficulty in passing the semesters, they provide good marks in sessional and internals. The teachers are very helpful towards the students.
Other: It's a professional course so 100% job placements are available. No campus compound is there due to which we don’t get a chance to meet the other students. No social intersection is there.
