Q:   How can I get admission to TISS for PhD?

A: 

To apply for a PhD programme at TISS, candidates should ensure they meet the eligibility criteria and submit their application form along with the necessary documents before the specified deadline. If shortlisted, candidates may be invited for an interview or additional evaluation. The final decision regarding admission will be made by TISS based on the evaluation process. Candidates need a minimum of 50% in their graduation to be eligible for this programme. PhD admission process are mentioned below:

Step 1: Tezpur University Application Process 2024

For admission to any of the programmes at Tezpur University, candidates are required to fill out the application form through university’s official website by paying the required application fee for final submission.

Step 2: Tezpur University Selection Criteria 2024

Tezpur University admission is completely entrance exam-based. The university inducts candidates through various national-level & university-level entrance exams, such as CUET-UG, TUEE, JEE-Main for different programmes. Candidates having valid scores in the aforementioned exams will be shortlisted for the counseling process.

Step 3: Tezpur University Final Seat Allotment 2024

After the completion of counselling process, candidates will be required to complete the final admission process, i.e. document verification and tuition fee payment for final seat allotment.

  2. Reimbursement of Compulsory Non-Refundable Fees: The programme reimburses students for the non-refundable fees charged by educational institutions.

  3. Study Tour Charges: Students can receive financial support of up to INR 1600 to cover study tour expenses.

  4. Thesis Typing/Printing Charges: Research scholars are eligible for financial assistance of up to INR 1600 to cover expenses related to thesis typing and printing.

  5. Book Allowance: Students pursuing correspondence courses are granted a book allowance of INR 1200.
