TISS Mumbai offers PhD under 11 specialisations. Aspiring candidates must have completed either a 4-year bachelor's degree programme with 8 semesters or a 3-year bachelor's degree programme. Alternatively, the regulatory body can also accept an equivalent qualification. Admission to this programme is subject to a valid score in the institute's PhD RAT (Research Aptitude Test).
