M.Sc. in Physics - Batch of 2024

A college with a good environment, atmosphere, and friendly teachers.
Placements: There are better opportunities in this college. We can get guaranteed campus placements. Students can trust. They should do hard work for placements, then at the end of the fourth semester, the river will run. Students get placements. Many companies visit the college. Around 15 students got placed at Inncircles in the last month with a salary package of 10 LPA. Cisco offered a salary package of 19 LPA - 23 LPA. Tech Mahindra, and many companies visited our college.
Infrastructure: Our library has everything that students need to prepare for their academics and gain extra knowledge. It has tons of books. We have a smart board in every class, so it's very interesting.
Faculty: The faculty-to-student ratio is quite good. Faculty members are very social with students. They give good advice about what to do next in the semester. The dean of the college is very good. He teaches students engineering and physics. He has researched microprocessor technology. His name is Satendra Singh Chauhan. Manoj Bandil is a very rude teacher and always tries to prove wrong in students. In the semester, there are 4 exams. Three of them are mid-semesters, which are moderate. The final semester exams are quite tough.
Other: A fest named Tejas is held in February. Our college conducts a lot of extracurricular activities from annual sports day to national sports day. There is a student council to look at all student matters in the college.

Our college maintains a discipline and makes students participate in everything.
Placements: Placements at our college are very nice. During the recession, VIT provided many placements for students. Students who are average in their studies can get placements easily here. If they are toppers in the class, they can get selected by Google, Amazon, etc. The university has collaborations with numerous national and international companies.
Infrastructure: There are more than 30,000 books in the library They provide fans, air conditioners, and smart boards in classrooms. The library has personal computers. Many sports are available on campus like outdoor and indoor.
Faculty: Our college is known for its highly qualified faculty. Many of them hold Ph.D. degrees and have extensive experience in academia and industry. Faculty members are involved in research, publishing in reputed journals, and contributing to technology advancement. The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:10. The relationship between some of the faculty and students is friendly.
Other: Our college encourages students to participate. Annual sports day is held at the end of every year. They provide an NCC campus for interested students. They are NCC and NSS groups for students. Our college has a club for mental health and wellbeing.

Strong curriculum and academics.
Placements: The general placement rate is not very great since this is new, but last year it did reach around sixty-five percent. There are only a few internship opportunities, not very helpful. The roles mostly related to teaching and research are what are offered for this course.
Infrastructure: There is a building where we have our classrooms, faculty members' cabins, and the library. If we see the hostel area, there are sharing room facilities along with meals and laundry facilities also available. The rooms have attached washrooms and air-conditioning facilities.
Faculty: The curriculum is designed to equip students with skills in communication and research and is fully updated and relevant to industry requirements. The teaching style is considered to be good and focuses on both theoretical knowledge and practical application.

I like the infrastructure of our university and the cleanliness maintained on the campus.
Placements: From the 7th semester, students are eligible for the placement drive. Inmovido, LearnNex, Infosys, TCS, etc., visit our college. Around 120 out of 100 students get selected for companies to earn money, buy a car, build a house, etc. Companies like Internshala, Tools Room Training Center, etc., visit our college and offer online or offline internships.
Infrastructure: There are not many social groups available, but students have been united. Classrooms are well-lit. They have fans. The cleanliness is always maintained. Libraries are accessible (incl. OPAC).
Faculty: Faculty members are good and well-educated. Their relationship with students is friendly. The IMD, physics, and philosophy departments faculty members are the best and most friendly. There are internal and external exams every semester. Exams are average.
Other: Our college conducts co-curricular and extra-curricular activities every two to three months. Festivals celebrated in harmony.

M.A. in Psychology - Batch of 2024

Limited placement and opportunities for the students.
Placements: In my university, the psychology department of my batch has only 13 students. There is no package system. Teachers used to give lectures on various subjects and courses of psychology, and no practicals are done, and they don't even take us on field studies. Our department provides internships in one of the hospitals for around 2 months, but they don't offer internships in other companies.
Infrastructure: The facilities of the hostels are not so good; it's average because they provide food two times a day—one in the morning and one in the evening. In the afternoon, they don't provide any meal, which is a major disadvantage for our hostel girls. Whereas the quality of the food is also not preferable; they don't give healthy and fresh food.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified, and all of them are knowledgeable, and their teaching quality is amazing. The course curriculum is totally relevant and makes students encouraged to study hard and be passionate. The semester exams are overall average, not so difficult, because teachers used to provide us with materials helpful for the exam.
Other: I chose the psychology course because I am very passionate about giving people advice, understanding their problems, and helping them in their day-to-day life. It would be better if our department provided field studies, where students will learn how to deal with patients and how to give counseling sessions.

We were also taken to different town & cities to represent our college in different competitions.
