A college where you can grow.

Placements: There were 225 students in our class. The basic package was around Rs. 4000 per year for everyone. No companies recruit students from our course, as it is the 1st step towards Honours. After completing Honours, students can pursue a Master’s in English Literature and apply for jobs, like teaching.

Infrastructure: There are 2 big classrooms for our department. Our professors have their rooms. We have a Wi-Fi facility but it is out of data and the library is lacking books for our course. College canteen provides good food most of the time. College union is helpful too.

Faculty: Only our department professors are so helpful and friendly. They let students feel like a family where they can learn, share, and grow. Our teachers also took students on educational trips and excursions. And our teachers also suggest books to read.

Other: There were so many students when I got into the department but now there are only around 150 students left. When it comes to fest our college really knows well how to celebrate it. Scholarships are provided if we get marks over 60%.

Great facilities and good job opportunities.

Placements: The percent of students placed in our course is around 80%, and the highest average package offered is 15 lacs, and the lowest average package is 8 lacs. The top recruiting are government schools and online institutes, etc. The top roles offered are lecturer, poet, etc.

Infrastructure: The college has great facilities and infrastructure. The facilities that are provided by the college are good classrooms, good labs, and well-equipped labs; the library is useful to students, and the hostels are good. The sports grounds are there.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful to students, and the teachers are highly experienced and have great knowledge in their subjects. The teaching quality is good, and the difficulty of the semester exams is tough, and the pass percent is above 80%, and the course curriculum is relevant.

My time at Chakdaha College.

Placements: In our course, there are more than 400 students. In Chakdaha College, the lowest or highest salary package is not offered. Only one salary package is offered in each course, and every student gets a different amount. Companies do not visit the college to recruit students for placements and internships. Roles are not offered.

Infrastructure: Our classrooms are great. The library is great too, with so many books. I do not know about labs because I am an art student. I am from the local area, so I do not know about the hostel, but it is not so bad. There is a games room for us, and it is great too.

Faculty: Teachers are excellent and knowledgeable. They teach us more than we can learn from a book. They are friendly. They still use the old technics and do not make us ready for any industry. Semester exams are not too bad and also not good. Exams are not held in our college, and we need to go to another college to write the exams. Every exam difficulty level depends on our luck and studies.

Other: Actually, I chose this course accidentally, so it was not a great experience. I did not make any great friends in my batch, but still, I made some great friends out of my batch. I hope they provide us with some more advanced courses or they can give us some activities. Every year there will be a social event in our college, and that is the most fun thing to have. Other events organised are also great.

Placements: The placement statistics for my course are as follows: 70% of the 150 students were placed. The highest package was INR 18,000 per annum, the lowest was INR 5,000 per annum, and the average was INR 8,000 per annum. Currently, no companies are hiring for placements in my course. Sixty percent of the students in my course are pursuing higher education, and the remaining are seeking employment. No roles have been offered in my course at this time.

Infrastructure: Our English Honours department has well-equipped classrooms, high-speed Wi-Fi, a dedicated library with a vast collection of literary resources, and access to computer labs for research and assignments. The faculty is very supportive, and the curriculum is rigorous and relevant.

Faculty: The teachers at this college are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They provide high-quality instruction and support to students. The course curriculum is relevant and is designed to make students industry-ready by equipping them with essential skills and knowledge. The semester exams are not too difficult, and the pass percentage is around 70%.

Other: I chose this course because of my passion for literature and language. The best things about it are the engaging curriculum, supportive faculty, and opportunities for critical thinking and creativity. I wish there were more practical workshops and internship opportunities to enhance real-world application and exposure in my course. Placements: Above 60% of students were placed in our course. The highest package was 18,000, and the lowest package was 12,000. Suguna Foods was the top recruiting company. 55% of students got internships at Suguna Foods, Flipkart, Amazon, etc. There are various roles available at this college.

Infrastructure: Every room had 2-3 B.Ed. students and 2-3 ceiling fans. Wi-Fi is available but the speed is very slow. The college doesn't have a proper lab; classrooms are okay. The quality of the mess and canteen, medical facilities, sports, and games are also okay. However, the football ground is in poor condition.

Faculty: Teachers were not so helpful but are qualified and knowledgeable enough. This course curriculum is not relevant, and students were not ready. Semester exams were of medium difficulty. The pass percentage was 64%. Some exams are very hard, and some exams are simple and normal.

Other: I chose this course because I didn't have a proper place to study.
