The bad Timings set by the college gives a bad impact on student and parents.

Placements: This is a new college which has never done any placement work till now. No placements are provided till now. It has been educating students since 2015. Any information about it can be summed up in 2018. It can be imagined that as it is a new college, it will work hard to get good placements.

Growing as a person over academic excellence.

Placements: The college has a placement cell. However, they did not offer any opportunities specifically for geography students. A few companies offered jobs that were open to all, but none of the students from my batch got placed through the placement cell. The internship was done as a part of the industrial experience. Students were placed in various companies of their choice.

Great campus, average course.

Placements: There were barely any placements for our department. I think most companies that came in for interview were for voice process. Only one company came in for designer profiles in which case we did not have a clue of probable salary that we can be offered as well. Since most of us had internships in the previous years we figured our ways out to get jobs. The college had no contribution towards the same.

Fee is less. Except that, nothing is good for study here.

Placements: Overall, the university has a good reputation but neither computer science department has a placement cell, nor do they provide any assistance for placements. A couple of years ago, small companies came to the campus for recruitment but they have stopped because students were cheating in the exam.

A combination of knowledge and fun.

Placements: Every year, around 10 to 12 companies visit this college. Ernst and Young has been coming to recruit the commerce and MBA graduate from the last two years. Other than that, Land T, TCS, and other big companies also visit. Every year, around 100 to 150 students get placed.

Good because of environment in the campus.

Placements: There were very few opportunities for placements. 1.2 lakhs was the highest average salary per annum. Almost 50% of students went for the internship that too was not from the college. Students went for internships on their own. No student was satisfied with that but they had to go for getting the experience certificate.

Satisfied because of some good faculty members and infrastructure.

Placements: There were about 20 companies that visited the college for final placements. None of them were noteworthy in the industry barring a few like Ernst & Young, RR Donnelly and Godrej and most of the roles offered were in BPOs and KPOs. About 30-40% of the batch was placed in the B.Com department, since a large number of students opted out of the placement process in order to pursue their higher studies or carry forward their family business. Presidency College is commonly known as the “Mother of Madras University”. The campus is huge and is close to the Marina beach. The university is very old and the building is about 160 yrs. old. The science departments are a hub of quality research during the time C.V. Raman studied here. It is funded by the government of Tamilnadu. For students who cannot afford private tuitions, the teachers spend extra hours taking special classes. Last year, too, Presidency students came first in all the sci...

The college is good when you are looking for an average institute. But the infrastructure is not up to the modern standards. The staffs employed will never treat students like adults. Parents had to be brought along with pupil for every inquiry. Stringent rules are laid out and it have to be followed under any circumstances. I would not suggest it for a student who wants to have the right mix of fun and education. But if you are bookworm or nerd go ahead and reserve a place in the college.

Placements: Yes, almost 8/10 students got placements and many corporate and banking offices were highly put forth by the human resource head staff to get offer letters. We can see many BOP sectors and front office job offers and some even got IT sector jobs. Even we got some media-related placement houses.

Good faculty and supportive environment with average infrastructure and facilities

Placements: Placements are not offered for the course Bsc psychology in particular because it is not enough to be placed in a mental health institution. One can always make utilisation of the "case study" subject provided to build connections and work internships at mental health clinics or similar institutions. However, placements are offered at the PG level in our college or for other courses.
