Mumbai University offers various scholarships to its meritorious students to uplift the economic barriers.The following scholarships are offered to the PG students of the University of Mumbai:

  1. Financial assistance to the students representing backward classes: A provision of INR 10 lakh is marked to render financial assistance to the students belonging to the reserved categories (SC/ ST/ NT/ DT and SBC) studying at various departments of the University.
  2. Financial assistance to the needy students: A provision of Rs 1 crore (Rupees One Crore) as a corpus fund is made since 2004-05 to render financial assistance to needy students belonging to the economically backward class studying at various affiliated colleges/ institutions/ departments of the university.
  3. Book Bank Scheme: Every year the University renders financial assistance to the affiliated colleges to run the Book Bank scheme for the backward class students.
  4. Group Insurance Scheme: In 2001-2002, the University introduced a Group Insurance Scheme in collaboration with National Insurance Company Limited known as YUVA RAKSHA for students from the affiliated colleges/ institutions and University departments.
  5. Government Scholarships: A number of government scholarships are also offered to the student studying at University affiliated colleges/ institutions and department

It has good and helpful faculty members and the best campus. I am satisfied with the infrastructure.

Placements: At RGIT Mumbai, about 60-80% of students get placed. The highest salary package offered is 18 LPA and the average salary package offered ranges from 3-4 LPA. Top recruiting companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, L&T, Zycus, and Capgemini visit the college for placements. About 68% of students secure internships, mostly in software engineering roles.

Placements: The percentage of students got placed is so high, with the highest salary package offering more than 19 LPA. Top recruiting companies are hire our college students. Absolutely dissatisfied with the college providing no placements and having higher fees.

Placements: Only sales and call centre jobs were offered by small firms that visited for the placements. The packages offered ranged between 15000 to 20000 only. There is no special placements cell in the college. The teachers just share the jobs on WhatsApp groups and the students apply from there.
